Orbs
Not sure if this belongs in Paranoia or not..
But let's talk about orbs. Not about those obvious camera malfunctions...I get those on my crappy digital all the time. I'm talking about the ones people tend to see in certain areas with the naked eye and with infrared video cameras. The ones that move. Really they're streaks of light that move unlike a light source should. Too fast for bugs, too uncharacteristic for actual light...what do you think they are? I honestly am not sure. Would be cool if anyone had some research to share or personal experience. I can see a type of light orb if I concentrate. Dozens of tiny golden lights that swirl like snow...thats probably from migraines or some brain problem though. |

They speak a bit about it but for several reasons. Again I don't know specifically about that example but people have tried to capture them or shoe them away or watch how the wind affects them or ...etc none of the times did they behave as bugs would. They also tend to move far too fast for bugs and come to a dead stop. It also doesn't explain how they're glowing. If they were a glowing bug like a firefly they'd be very easy to find and capture.
This phenomenon occurs even in darkness, underground, and on infrared video cameras (with no other light present). |

No one has mentioned whether or not there was an open air vent or window, which makes this suspect. Hey, I love a good ghost story too, but even I feel that this place has dust maoving in the air.
Okay so what makes you think these are , in fact, orbs not dust mites or drafts or some such normal phenomenon? I want to bellieve but let's dissect this logically...

Marfa Lights
In West Texas in the Chihuahuan Desert mysterious orbs have appeared for years near the small town of Marfa. The state even built a million dollar viewing park for visitors to stop and have a look. I've been there but I didn't see anything unusual. I know many people who have seen the Marfa Lights multiple times. The lights usually appear in groups of five or more and bounce up and down near the horizon. Here's the Wiki article:
Marfa lights There are also videos on YouTube. Search for "Marfa Lights."

I took a picture of my bowflex that I am selling a few days ago. Hey lookie there - orbs! Yep, kitty litter dust. My wife was cleaning the litter box to the side when I took it.
I have seen one orb in my life, and I wish I had gotten it on camera. I wasn't even remotely prepared though. I walked outside on my upstairs deck. There are trees just past the stairs out there, leading down. As I took a couple of steps from the door (all one motion, no pause) an orb the size of a soccer ball shot from the side of the tree (no real limbs) and as it moved away, it disappeared. I was a bit stunned, to say the least. The flood light was on and as a naturalist of sorts, having held owls and other birds and even caught wild local bats, I can assure you it was not an animal. No shape other than round, light/whitish and it did not fly away and out of sight, rather it faded out, while perfectly inside the range of the flood light. The startling thing, and what makes my hair stand up a bit as I think about it again, is that it reacted to my presence and shot away. Why was it near the tree trunk? What was it? Why did it react negatively towards me? Let me reiterate, there were no wings, no shape, corners or features. Just a high speed blob that existed for only a few feet. It was stationary when I noticed it start to move. It was hovering initially, like a non-patterned soccer ball floating by a tree, then taking off at high speed and disappearing. After that, I think of the rest as false positives. Bugs highly out of focus, dust stationary or dust in a wind, depending on how it moves, etc. For instance, Zeraph, your second vid, the orb moves exactly like a lacewing in flight. Put a lacewing close to the camera and you have that exact effect. I'm not saying that definitely is the case, but it does seem more like that, to me.

Yeah I know, and I know what you mean.
When I talk of orbs, I do not talk of anything caught on camera. Only personal view. I didn't doubt there were orbs before my experience, and I definitely have no doubt now. What they are I won't even speculate about. Human spirits, woodland spirits, something else entirely? I have no idea. Maybe it could be many things, and this is just how we perceive the energy. I've seen so many things now that I have zero doubt of a paranormal realm, or another plane or multiple planes of existence. If some spirit formed right in front of me and explained everything I should know of this topic, nothing would surprise me at this point.

I know of at least three pictures that my niece is in that has orbs. What I was told is that orbs are spirits that watch over you. I personally don’t know but it is nice to think that someone is looking out for you. Next time I visit my dad I will try and find some of the pictures and post them for you.
