Old story: "did we go to the moon?"

I HEARD on C2C a few nights ago this guy who claims AMERICA did not go to the
Moon in 1969 or in any of the other 6 times we said we did. He claims that we could
not have sent men through the Van Allen radiation belt that surrounds the Earth and
survive the 20,000 mile thick belt. Most scientists say that as the Apollo Moon Ship
is traveling at around 25,000 miles an hour the Astronauts did not spend enough time
in the area to bother them and the flight capsule offers some protection anyway.

My main reason to know that we did go to the Moon 6 times is that the Russians were
in the race to the Moon and wanted to beat us to claim themselves winner. THEY were watching
our every move and would have screamed to every News paper and radio and TV news
if they had not seen and followed the Americans to the Moon with their Radar and their
telescopes. Everyone knew we went to the MOON except a few jerks who wanted to
cause trouble and were not very smart in science and physics.

This guy who was on the radio had a bunch of other ideas that have all been talked
about and explained away years ago. Why no stars appeared in the NASA Moon photos and why the American flag appears to wave on a airless Moon? All too easy
if you know what happened. Buzz Aldrin and Armstrong did all they said they did.

One thing that I would like to see happen is to have Armstrong and Aldrin on 60 Minutes for a 30 minute interview and have them talk about their trip and their
exploring where no one had gone before.:paranoid:

pshawww... That easy to confirm. Just look up the ground level photography on Google Earth. I'm sure they've sent their truck there by now. Um... they stiffened the America flag with wire to make it stick out. *Sigh...

And, even though some may say there could be some photoshop work done, there will be a new lunar satelite that will image and map out the Moon in high enough resolution to find parts left behind.

There is also a $5 million dollar reward if you send a probe to the Moon and take a picture of a landing site.

RonRyan - I am not sure if I can tell your position here. You seem to know that we went to the moon and agree that the various hoax theories have been discredited.

If I am right, why is this post here? Obviously, you have the right to post what you want, but I am curious as to what your point was.

It might not be 30 minutes long, and it might not ask the hard questions in this interview. But, sometimes actually doing something is easier than faking it.

THANKS ASU2003. I had never seen that video from 60 minutes. Thanks for uploading it.

MSD 04-07-2009 09:45 AM

If I'm ever having a bad day, this video can always pick me up. It adds nothing to the debate, but I agree with the sentiment ol' Buzz displays.

edit: and he has a great sense of humor

Aren't there vids of the rocket making it to the moon, from an Earth perspective? Surely if Russia was tracking, they used telescopes with cameras on them... That'd probably shut up the riff-raff. Then again maybe not

By the way, why wouldn't Russia call the US out on a fake?

Mister Coaster 04-13-2009 11:22 AM

In Soviet Russia... Moon lands on you!

Sorry, back to the debate...

The moon landing hoax thing is one of the sillier 'theories' out there, but not really the silliest.

It's a big troll. Nobody actually believes it.

Well, no educated, not-mentally-ill person does, anyway.

Hey MSD, thanks for the Buzz Aldrin punch video. Watching it carefully has led me to realise that there is something wrong about it.

Note first that Bart Sibrel (the one *supposedly* on the wrong end of Buzz's fist) says that Buzz Aldrin didn't land on the Moon. One of the reasons for saying that is that there aren't any stars visible in any of the photos from the Moon.

Now let's turn this around. Note that when a person is hit in the head, stars are clearly visible circling their head. (See almost any Roadrunner cartoon.)

In this video, no stars are visible around Sibrel's head. This proves that Buzz Aldrin didn't land a punch on Bart Sibrel.

We need to get to the bottom of this cover-up.

Silly theory if you have bought into the idea that they landed on the moon. Look at it objectively and it isn't so obvious.

What do you make of this?

Zenturian 05-20-2009 07:54 PM

Anyone can go out and buy a nice telescope. Now go out in the woods away from the light pollution of the city. Then aim it at the moon, and after a while you can find the landing pod and stuff. Easiest conspiracy to debunk when you can see the proof with your own eyes.

MSD 05-21-2009 10:36 AM

I'm pretty sure the moon landing sites are too small to resolve clearly on an earth-based telescope.

Sun Tzu 05-22-2009 09:23 AM

Well at least we will have verification within this generation.
