Synchronicity
Very rarely does anything that deviates far from random chance ever happen repeatedly and observably. Of course the human mind notices patterns even when they aren't there, so strange happenings are typically just observations of the outcome of a metaphorical roll of the dice. When two things coincide by chance, we're likely to assume that they're correlated with no evidence other than the correlation, no matter how much logic tells us that it isn't the case.
Even keeping all of this in mind, it's hard to not feel creeped out by some things. I have been reading through paranoia threads and ghost stories, and suddenly my cat meowed and was staring intently down the hall. I'm a skeptical, level-headed person when it comes to the paranormal, and I'm sure he does this all the time when I'm not reading ghost stories, but I can't help looking over my shoulder every few seconds. |

Speaking of synchronicity (not to change the subject of your thread about ghosts), check out Deepak Chopra's book, "The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire. It's very interesting.

Dave was in korea for 3 weeks in January...normally Im ok staying in the house alone, even if I watch scary stuff...but there was one nite Morgana (the cat) chose to sit outside each of our extra bedrooms and different times and act really strangely, letting out one of those kinds of meows that makes you think she's being strangled.
We keep the doors to these bedrooms closed all the time and there wasn't anyway in hell I was opening them hehehe. She finally calmed down...but when I shut the house down for the nite to go to bed and she's sitting on the bed while I get settled, she keeps jumping and acting startled and staring out in the hall (where the two bedroom doors are) I think I laid (some of the time completely under the covers) there for about 3 hours with her doing that before I finally fell asleep. I've tried to notice if she's done that now that Im not alone.....lol I havent noticed it one time and for the record, I did go in those rooms the next day to "check them out" and didnt see anything untoward, I honestly got it in my head someone had broken in the house somehow and was hiding out in one of the bedrooms, they are connected by a jack and jill bathroom, even to the extent of hollering out loud if there was anyone/thing there waiting to bother me I'd appreciate it if they wouldn't lol I've heard all my life cats/animals in general can sense the paranormal but I really hate when they do stuff like that
