the white stripes cover tegan and sara?
has anyone else heard this? they cover "walking with a ghost". i heard it on sirius radio earlier in the day, though im not sure which station [probably alternative nation].
i must say, im not a big fan of it. i dont think jack white did the two ladies justice. poor jack, he's losing his touch.

I like it better than the original.
But then again, I don't really listen to Tegan & Sara. And I really listen to alot of The White Stripes.

I was in Austin for the Austin City Limits festival back in September. Tracy Bonham was replacing Tegan & Sara because they got stuck in Canada due to the hurricanes down in the Gulf. A lot of bands couldn't make it.
Anyway, Tracy Bonham did Walking With A Ghost with only a violin, and her guitarest. Safe to say that we were all happy about that. Besides, Tracy's awesome anyway.

on a slightly different note, does anyone agree that jack white's recent musical releases have been lacking that certain something his previous work has?
i consider myself to be quite the white stripes fan. there was a time were i thought they could do no wrong. but "get behind me satan"... i was suprised at how long it took for that album to grow on me. "white blood cells", "elephant" and even "de stijl" were all albums that i instantly fell in love with. maybe i'm just not following the same tastes as the band anymore, or perhaps they effort and enthusiam just wasn't there. it sure didn't hear it in many of the songs on "... satan".

I tend to agree. I head this on CBC's DNTO yesterday afternoon. My wife turned the radio off halfway thru. A pretty weak effort allround.
