Romantic songs
what are your favorite romantic songs? i'd like to check out some new stuff. i've always kinda had a soft spot for romantic songs, they bring back good memories
i like harder-edged songs like the first in my list more so then quiet ones. IMO if that's well pulled off, it's more effective then something quiet and sappy. anyway, here are my favorites, straight out the iTunes playlist: HIM - Right Here In My Arms Sky - You Savage Garden - Truly, Madly, Deeply (overplayed though it may be, it's still really good ) Silverchair - Miss You Love Goo Goo Dolls - Iris (this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy whenever i hear it) NIN - The Fragile NIN - We're In This Together Kinobe - Slip into Something More Comfortable (very sexy instrumental) The Corrs - Breathless (it's just so simple and cheerful, how can you not like it?) Green Day - Poprocks & Coke Portishead - All Mine Garbage - #1 Crush (this and All Mine are more about obsession then love, but they still count :P) Fuel - Most of All Bryan Adams - Run to You The Cardigans - Lovefool (yeah yeah) Dido - Here With Me and lastly, my favorite... Headstones - Blonde & Blue btw, for anyone who hasn't heard of the Headstones (anyone living outside of Canada, most likely) they are definitely worth checking out. very kool stuff. (i did a search for this topic, but the last thread was over a year old, so fuck it) |

I could go on for days about all the really sappy romantic songs, but since I'm currently trying to relearn it for fun, I'll throw in Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting. The song is so cliche to the point where you'd groan if you just read the lyrics, but I really like playing it on guitar and singing along like a fool.
And also, "Daughters" by John Mayer. Again, very cheesy, but also very fun to play on guitar and sing. And it also holds a special place for me because it worked some magic on this girl I used to know.

"Three Wise Men"
"Billy" Both from James Blunt's album 'Back to Bedlam' (in fact, just get the album) "Mary Says" - Wang LeeHom (The song's in English.) "Mona Lisa" - Grant-Lee Phillips "U16 Girls" "Flowers in the Window" Travis (from the album 'singles', don't recall what original CDs they came on) "Everywhere" - Tim McGraw Before I go on and on, tell me if those are at all your style, because I'm a total sucker for romantic songs with good tunes. (EDIT: Well, I'm a sucker for catchy songs, and most of them tend to be about love.)
