This is an amazing track. It's way better on the S&M CD in my opinion, though.
I have a huge preference for instrumental songs that include heavy metal and orchestral instruments. For example:

Moondance - by Nightwish
No Boundaries - by Michael Angelo Batio

However, I find that wordless vocals are much more powerful than simple instrumentals. For example:

Mot Fjerne Land - by Leave's Eyes

A little too well-known, but I still think it's friggin' good

Kronos Quartet- Requiem for a Dream

The Two Towers Remix of it is also really good, but a little too epic for many.

I listen to a lot of instrumental music, so it would be hard to make up a list. But, one of my favs at the moment is the instrumental version of "God" by Prince and the Revolution.

Wow, I hardly know any instrumental music. I'd have to go with In The Mood by Glenn Miller and Greensleeves done by Andres Segovia. I enjoy classical music but I never know the name of the piece or who it's by.

Also, "(Anesthesia)- Pulling Teeth" and "The Call of Ktulu."
