After a great deal of thought and a meticulous elimination process I doth hereby decree that:
Everybody Loves a Carnival - by Fatboy Slim *is my "pump up song". Until I decide to change my mind again.

If I was Jason Gedrick (Doug Masters) in Iron Eagle I would say "One Vision" by Queen
but I'm not, so I'll say "One" by Metallica. how bout some old school "Rock You Like A Hurricane" by The Scorps...

Changes - Tupac.
every time i play that song just before a game of anything i always end up winning cos it psyches me up and gets me into concentration mode where all i thinka bout is winning. for me pumped up in being in the 'zone' where nothing else but what is ahead matters. everything else is negligible... yup tupac does it for me.

A few different songs from Megaherz, notably:
Herzblut, Tanz auf dem Vulkan, 5. März, and Windkind. They're a German metal band similar to Rammstein - let me know if anyone wants samples.

Lately I find it's been "Watching the Wheels" and "Imagine" by John Lennon and "Better Things" by the KINKS (who were just inducted to the British Music Hall of Fame and Ray Davies had the honor of inducting The Who, the same night.)

Mantus, thanks for the Firestarter Empirion. I like it. Also, I like the Dandy Warhols now. I love discovering new music. I understand that there is a lot of talent out there that I don't get exposed to, so I love it when you people give me a clue. I'm 35, and I don't really hit the clubs any more, but I still love great tunes, from any genre.

Lots of great songs mentioned so far. A few new ones for me. Dieselboy+KAOS - Subculture - its a kick ass song guccilvr - any other songs like this?
Some more additions to the list: The Professionals - Flava for Rava - mentioned yet? Of course can't have a list like this without Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand For those who like blues anything by Anson Funderburg & the Rockets is damn fine. Rambling Woman is a notable song but they are all great. BTO's - Let it Ride <- Old school, how can we forget? Goldie Looking Chain - Guns Dont Kill People Rappers Do <- 4 teh B-boiz Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch <- mindless, very fun, but just once. Benny Goodman - Sing, Sing, Sing <- old school jazz Chemical Brothers - Galaxy Bounce <- there goes the subwoofer. Los Lobos - Georgia Slop <- bluesy rock There are many more but I cant finish this list without: Outkast - B.O.B. |

Oh... a pump-up song.
I think anything from 'Nevermind the Bollocks... Here's the Sex Pistols' album will do the job fine for me. And no, I don't listen to any other punk music in general. And I do realize they seem to be too 'old' for my 'young' age- oh well, who cares?
