Eric Clapton - Back Home
I just logged on to Napster to listen to Slowhand's latest, and I'm convinced that even though he is probably the most gifted band leader ever, he still can't make a solid original studio album. I'm sure within a year you will be hearing tracks from this album in your local grocery store. This album offers a new twist, however; there isn't one song that has single quality. Not one track. I am extremely dissapointed with probably my favorite musician's latest.

Thanks.
I wasn't impressed with "Reptile" or "Pilgrim" either (in fact haven't really rated highly any studio album he made since "Behind The Sun" or "Journeyman") - but thought "From the Cradle", "Riding with the King" and "Me and Mr Johnson" were all fantastic. Seems he can PLAY 'em, but not really WRITE 'em anymore.
