Robert Randolph fans?
 

Through seeing the video for "I Need Love" (or whatever it was called), I became interested in Robert Randolph, so I listened to a couple of his albums on Rhapsody. I bought LIVE AT THE WETLANDS today, and it's a supercharged live performance. Randolph is the Jimi Hendrix of the lap steel guitar, an amazing player of that instrument, and the band behind him is tight. If you have Rhapsody or Napster or something along those lines and like funk/rock, you may want to check it out.

Robert Randolph and the Family Band is insane. Get the album "Unclassified" it's awesome. Try and check them out live, great show.

Robert is flat out amazing on the steel guitar, I agree he is the Jimi Hendrix of it. Love to see him live, looks like an extremely high energy show.

I've heard UNCLASSIFIED on Rhapsody, but preferred the live album. Having listened to it twice in the car now, I'm not quite as impressed as I was the time I listened to it on Rhapsody, but it's still a hot performance--it just doesn't hold up to repeated plays, I guess.
