Music from commercials you like?
 

For last while the best new music I have heard is music from different TV commercials.

Anybody got favorites that are not easily known.

Recent examples:

Hummer H2 - FC Kahuna, Nothing is Wrong
Mentos (with the sheep) - Clinic - D.P.
Saturn - The Walkmen, We've Been Had
Nissan Xterra - Soalwax, Much Against Everyone's Advice

Those are just a few. There's now way I would hear any of this music with searching it out. I might even know a few questions..

ancient Budweiser commercial, Wrigley's spearmint gum, Barry Manilow has a collection of commercial songs he wrote (i.e., State Farm, McDonald's, Pepsi, ) on an earlier Live Album (the Very Strange Song Medley) that is actually pretty good.

J. Ralph - A Million Miles Away (from the VW commercial where the guy is racing to catch a wedding)

Electric Light Orchestra - Mr. Blue Sky (from the VW commercial with the beetle convertable where the guy is going through the same routine every day and smiles when he sees the beetle drive by from the office building)

i guess i like VW commercials, lol.

Lux Aeterna - this is the main song from Requem for a Dream but it was used in the LOTR The Two Towers commercials.

i also really liked that song from the commercial (can't even remember what it was for, jeans i think) with the hispanic guy walking down the street and his legs are all wobbling and going crazy, but i found the song and downloaded it and you can tell that whomever got a hold of the song remixed it because i didn't like the actual song very much.

Old Nissan commercial.... Dandy Warhols Godless.... this is just an amazing song.

I heard "Blitzkrieg Bop" in a cellphone commericial the otherday and have since attempted suicide numerous times.

The old VW Beetle ad- Aqualung : Strange and beautiful

Theres a bnew revlon commercial out now... got some guitar and some people sayin "woo woo"... as ridiculous as that sounds, i like it. Its called "Diamonds and Guns" and its by a band called the Transplants. Theyre Tim Armstrong from Rancid, and Travis Barker from Blink 182.... not a bad song really.

I thought hearing the Transplants in that Revlon commercial was incredibly, incredibly bizarre.

Incidentally, there's some car commercial with the song "Moondance" by Van Morrison, which I really like. (The song, not the commercial.)

Weird addition here:

Can't remember what car it was for, but it was some car commercial and "music" is made from the noises of the cars....electric windows, hand brake clicking up and down, seats sliding forward etc. Thought that was really cool, as was the Nike ad which did something similar with squeaking trainers and basketballs.

I really liked the techno part of a recent vh1 commercial, but I don't know the name of the band.
