I finally made it all the way through the album a few nights ago. Its better to listen to on a good pair of headphones. I listened to it on my life-alteringly neutral Sennheiser HD-280's and found it more pleasureable than my Mirage speakers. Its a very hit and miss album. There are spells of ok songs, then some shitty ones, then a few more ok songs, and so on. The last two songs are pretty good though.

i bought the cd yesterday and have listened to it once through very hooky, listening to the cd where i dont have to concentrate entirely on it made it better. but i still am not much of a fan of the first song
i find the music is ok if you can get by his singing this time around. |

First off, am I the only one that thought The Fragile was by far his best work?
The talent and beauty of that album is unsurpassed. Maybe it's because I'm not a angst ridden teen. Sure the downward spiral was good, but it still wasn't great. On a side note, I do like the new CD. Nothing that blew me away but its enjoyable. |

Hell yeah I agree with Everytime. Everyone seems to praise "Spiral" as Reznor's great opus. Bollocks it was. Spiral was his big hit - "The Fragile" is the masterwork. Furthermore, "Still" is the perfect augmentation to the Fragile. Together, they are easily the most compelling and beautiful work out of anything reznor has released.
And after a few days with With Teeth, I put it on par with Pretty Hate Machine - relatively close to the bottom.

I like the album... I was iffy at first, but after listening to it a few times, it's getting better.
He's definately trying to recapture a lot of what he did in his albums before The Fragile. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.... every once in a while it sounds like he's repeating himself, but whatever, it's still good music. My favorite track is definately Everyday is Exactly the Same. It seems different from Trent's usual themes, and I like it a lot. I wonder if it'll be the next single?

I think that 'Every day is exactly the same' will be the 3rd single from With Teeth. |

Ok, I've had the album since mid April, and bought the cd the other week based on my impressions. I've been a fan since Pretty Hate Machine came out when I was in highschool.
Track by Track Impressions: 01. All The Love In The World - Doesn't do to much for me... A bit slow for an opening track. Gets better around the 3min mark. 02. You Know What You Are? - I don't really like this track 03. The Collector - Shitty lyrics. Another one to skip 04. The Hand That Feeds - Ok.. I like this one... 05. Love Is Not Enough - Another good track. 06. Everyday Is Exactly The Same - This was the first track track that I really liked on the album. Chorus repeats a bit though... 07. With Teeth - For the albums' title track I found it to bite pretty bad. 08. Only - Interesting beginning... reminds me of some 80's synth pop. Lyrics remind me a lot of pretty hate machine. 09. Getting smaller - Eh.. 10. Sunspots - Everytime I hear the beginning of this track, I think of the song from the crow soundtrack (Dead Souls). Not a bad track, I kinda like Trent's voice in this one. 11. The Line Begins - Solid track 12. Beside You In Time - Can't really say this track stands on it's own, but it works well going into track 13. 13. Right Where It Belongs - This track made up for any of the shitty ones on this album. This is my current favorite on this album. Overall Impressions: Well, after listening to the entire cd for a few weeks, I can honestly say it isn't half bad. Literally. I like 7 of the songs, and didn't really care for the other 6. Basically when I start to listen to this cd in my car, I skip the first 3 tracks and start with track 4. |

a lot of this cd sounds like marilyn manson to me and i would love to see manson doing vocals over all the same songs.
i have a feeling it would sound better on the "less popular" of the songs like "With teeth" (also my least favorite, its ok until his chorus of With TEETH!). |

I love this album. The only song I don't really care for anymore is "The hand that feeds". I guess Trent was right saying THTF is the easiest to get into but it burns out the fastest. I have the UK special edition version of the album which inlcudes "Home" and a second version of "Right Where It Belongs". Both awesome tracks and I think version 2 of "Right where it belongs" is even better than the original.

For me I think TF is my favorite album of his, it just flows together so amazingly, especially if you listen to it all the way through without any breaks :P. WT I have really enjoyed, i'm kind of getting tired of it faster than the other albums, but it's still a good one. This sounds really stupid but the final song on the album almost got me misty (not quite teared up but close) i could feel the emotions there, I love how his voice slowly changes in the middle of the song.
