Very Hard music recommendations.
Ok, heres the deal: About a year ago I started a compolatoin series called HARD. They were just disks full of stompy agressive music for pavement pounding around the city. Not all of the tunes were rock solid but it was good walking music. Long story short, my lilībro got a hold of the disks & he reckons he can find harder music than I can. Its become a bit of a competition now, were smack talking down the phone to each other about how wet the others HARD disks are. So Im putting part four together right now & its gotta be RockHARD. Any suggestions? Im not particular about style, the musics just gotta be nosebleed hard.
Anyone? Thanks. |

Pantera - Fucking Hostile, Domination, Cowboys From Hell, The Great Southern Trendkill
Metallica - Damage Inc., Battery, Whiplash, Metal Militia, Creeping Death Megadeth - Devil's Island, Liar, Holy Wars, Take No Prisoners, Architechture of Aggression, New World Order, Blackmail the Universe, Kick the Chair This should be a good start. |
Slayer - most anything but "Angel of Death" is a good start
Bongzilla - Salvation, H.P Keefmaker Kyuss - they are kind of upbeat with heavy riffs so i dont know if you would want that but 50 million year trip and Green Machine Monster Magnet - EGO, The Living Planet is about as heavy as you can get Anthrax - Inside Out Rob Zombie - Superbeast Marilyn Manson - The Reflecting God Soulfly - Pain, Bring it, Terrorist, The Prophet, Back to the Primitive Most anything by S.O.D. (Stormtroopers of death, incase you find anything under the title of SOD) Motorhead - Orgasmatron and damn spectre, im really missing my pantera cds right now seeing those songs up there :( |
Motorhead - Order/Fade to Black
Kreator - Enemy of God, Murder Fantasies Morbid Angel - Eyes to See Ears to Hear, Nothing is Not Zyklon - Electric Current, The Prophetic Method, No Names Above the Names Meshuggah - Any song will work really  Maybe those were too extreme for just a "Hard-n-Heavy" type CD, but you should definitely check them out anyway! Edit: I would agree a million percent with skinny's Bongzilla recommendation! Those guys are on a different planet kind of heavy. |
haha... why the fuck are you people mentioning crap like marylin manson?
This thread is meaningless without mention of Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah (at least one person mentioned them), Cryptopsy, and Darkane. Get these songs now if you want heavy (although you said 'hard', but i think it means the same thing...) Meshuggah - Future Breed Machine, I, Suffer In Truth Strapping Young Lad - Oh My Fucking God Cryptopsy - White Worms, Slit Your Guts Darkane - A Wisdom's Breed |

Have to put in another nod for Dillinger Escape Plan. I saw them live with Zao and Every Time I Die a couple months ago and I was partially deaf for the next week. Also, the music is just so intense that I couldn't help but want to punch someone in the face.

Psycroptic's newest album Scepter of the Ancients is rediculously good...and unlike most technical death metal it's not done on 7 strings with low -H tuning, surprisingly enough most of it is in drop D!

haha. I didn't, but the people in the audience that night certainly did. I saw at least a dozen bloody noses rushing out of the pit area...which is exactly why I don't go to those concerts very often, let alone get in the pit. |

Children of Bodom. I guess you could get some grindcore (anal cunt is the one band I've heard about), which might I add isn't to my liking.
