Canon in D
I've got a midi version that is the best I've heard, but it's still midi, so I'd like to find a mp3 copy. I've tried www.espew.com, and the ones there are... not good.
Canon in D

why dont you buy the cd? theres been a ton of versons out... or you can always download it from any download p2p programs. i use DC++(free opensource but you need to share about 10g or more to get in the good channels) and i found every possible version(orchestras, classical guitar, guitar, techno remix)

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering about. I want a version that sounds like the midi version, but I keep getting weird remixes and stuff.
And what CD are you talking about? I've got DC++, so I'll check that out.

god i hate that song. i had to play it every year in orchestra from fifth grade all the way through high school. bah. but seriously though mexicanonabike's right. you should be able to find one of dozens of CD's that have pachabell's canon on it for five bucks or less.

It's important that you know who the composer is, so I'll give it to you: Johann Pachelbel (spelling could be important in order to help you find it).

Canon in D can be done very excellently and very poorly. I have a brass ensemble arrangement for about 50 brass, and it's absolutely breathtaking. Sends chills down my spine everytime I hear it.

to my mind, it is on brian eno's "discrete music" release. its from around 1974.

I love Canon in D, though I have to admit, it still takes a backseat to Rachmoninoff's Theme on Paganini, if i can find them I've had a couple decent versions of both, PM if you'd like and we can swap some files

Here's an album with my all-time favorite title: Pachelbel's Greatest Hit. Seriously, can you name anything else by Pachabel? Didn't think so. 15 different arrangements of the same song.
I've also heard the "Taco Bell Canon", performed by a college a cappella group, which is pretty funny.
