John Legend

I heard one of his singles (Ordinary People) on the radio the other day and bought his CD. I can't stop listening, and I have no idea why. He has this unique jazzish tone that is just...well...unique. Just thought I'd give you all something to listen to.

Yeah I've been thinkin about pickin it up too. I like dudes like him and Musiq Soulchild who are bringin R&B n Soul/Gospel back to sounding how it's supposed to sound. Not like Usher. I'm definitely a fan a his. I might pick up his joint...right now it's actually pretty cheap.

I'll probably have to pick his CD up. I also heard Ordinary People and was really impressed. I hadn't heard anything like that on the music stations in a long time. Was worried it might be an aberration, but I'll definately check it out now.

^ Off subject I finally saw "Burn Hollywood Burn!" last night and it was rather amusing.

I picked his album up back when it first came out (it was on sale at Best Buy for about $6). I absolutely loved it and I think he's one of the brightest shining stars in the music industry. I don't see how this guy won't have a long and fruitful career. I actually didn't like the album at first because I didn't really connect with the lyrics at all, but after a couple listens all the way through I absolutely loved it. Definitely someone to look out for. I'm glad there are people like him who are keeping the standard of quality for music high just so we don't forget what is possible when you don't just settle for being a cookie cutter pop group and actually strive for more.

I saw him open for Alicia Keys and he was very good. I might have to pick up the CD myself. "Ordinary People" is a great song.
