^ If ya like smooth flows then try listening to The Roots - Illadelph Halflife...Black Thought is one of the smoothest dudes I've ever heard and he isn't shy on the vocab either. Also Pharcyde, Sub Conscious, Common Sense. If yer willing to give em a shot.

And EVERYONE is using Neptunes for beats. Gets a little old.

They're doin the same thing to Kanye now. And as time went on ya have more and more songs filling up the CD about money, girls, cars, drugs, n thuggin. Wouldn't be sooooo bad if each song didn't sound almost exactly the same and they at least tried to go above one syllable every now and then. But they clearly don't care..because apparently we don't care and we still buy the shit anyway...rest assured if we did start caring they'd wise the fuck up REAL quick.

now that i can agree with... it's sort of like producers, at least as far as hip-hop goes, have a 2 year time window where everyone in the industry wants to work with them... trackmasters (poke and tone), timbaland, dr. dre, neptunes, kanye, lil john, jazzy pha...

and i can also see your point about 1 or 2 songs versus the entire cd being filled with the same stuff.

The thing I love about Encore are the more serious Eminem tracks, I find that side of him alot better than when he acts stupid.

as jay-z once said:

"for those that think hove's whole thing is bling blingin'
either haven't heard the alubm or they don't know english
they only know what the single is
so they singled that out
to be the meaning of what he's about
and bein' that i'm about my business
not mingling much
not running my mouth that shit kept lingering
but no dummy that's the shit i'm sprinkling the album with
to keep the registers ringing
in real life i'm much more distinguished
i'm like a bloke from london england
yea, you jingling baby
see i go right back and i bringle it baby
business mind of a ross perot
but i never lost my soul
crossed the line, brought pop across the road
let him walk through the hood
where they up to no good
slangin' them o's like a real o.g. should
oh he's good
no he would
never sell out..."

"the bounce" blueprint 2: the gift and the curse, disc 2

if you haven't heard an album, it's easy to pigeonhole an artist by his/her/the group's singles.
