Spin's Top40 of 2004
Just wondering if anyone has seen the list, I saw the bottom five or whatever they allow at their site for free. I don't really hold their opinions in very high esteem but I'd like to see the list just for chuckles, if anyone has a subscription or has seen the list online, it would be great if you could share it with us. :D

If that's the Spin top 20, I'm happy that Ted Leo made it. But the only other two I've heard there (#12 and #8) weren't as good as Shake the Sheets. Rogue Wave, Mason Jennings, and Sondre Lerche should be on there as well. |
yeah, the loretta lynn album was good but i can't say i've been compelled to listen to it repeatedly. and i was big into tv on the radio for about a month; not so much anymore. i'd say about half of the list is pretty good though.

DJ Danger Mouse made it? I didnt realize that the grey album was an official release, i thought it was just some random DJ mixing the albums. Oh well, im happy, killers, green day, modest mouse, and franz ferdinand made it.

I listened to the Fiery Furnaces' Blueberry Boat once so far...and my first impression is that there may be a good deal of quality in it, but it's far too disjoint and long-winded to be deserving of the praise it's gotten.
But maybe I just need to listen to it more. It did seem to me like it'd be a grower. |
i agree, that's one of those albums i could not get into. the melodies were a little weird.
anyway, since we're getting into other lists, here's a similar thread: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=79490 and here is GQ's list, kind of in the middle of spin and pitchfork 10.
