how come, if anyone knows or has links, there has never been a dvd made of nirvana's unplugged concert on mtv back in the day? that was a great concert and i wish i could watch it when i wanted and not just when mtv decides to air it.
p.s i can't wait until the box set comes out.. yum.

That concert is all over the traders cirlces. Try looking for Nirvana traders, or look on one of those file sharing programs like Kazaa. They'll have it.

Not answering your question, but this reminds me of before the Nirvana Unplugged came on... some magazine, I think Entertainment Weekly, was reviewing all of the upcoming Unplugged specials (MTV was about to air several new Unpluggeds) and they dismissed the Nirvana Unplugged, saying that they could no longer hide their lack of talent behind loud guitars. It went on to praise the Duran Duran Unplugged as something truly great.

Kinda funny, I think.

it comes on tv from time to time.but no,there hasn't been a dvd as far as i know.maybe it'll be released in some years,but i think sooner or later there will be a dvd...if they need money.

damn right. AiC unplugged is one of the best performances of any band i've heard. really brilliant stuff.

AIC unplugged was awesome as well.

Id say the Nirvana Unplugged show will be on DVD at some point. It would definetly sell.

one of my friends taped it off of MTV and I stole it from him. Its old and shitty, but its better then nothing. I really hope they release it on DVD sometime... im sure Courtney will need more heroin money sometime. Does anyone know anymore about this box set thing, i read alittle bit about it in Rolling Stone but they didnt say much. When is it out, price, whats it include? I really hope its out before christmas so i can get it for "free"

Yeah the Alice in Chains unplugged was one of my favs, I like the Nirvana one, it was great, lots of good songs and they really did them well. Yes it's probably not released because of Courtney Love, she's been really bad lately with preventing any new or re release Nirvana coming out....that bitch
