What's your most anticipated fall album release?

I've been waiting for Nas to drop an album since christmas 2002, and on November 30th, barring any further delays he should be dropping his 2-cd 'Streets disciple'. That is my one must-have disc this fall. I was just curious what everyone else was eagerly awaint this fall?

I guess U2's new album is the one I look forward to the most; I got the new Elvis Costello's, too, and looked forward to its release for a week or so.

Even though it won't be released this fall, and probably not even this winter (although that's the release date I've HEARD projected), my most anticipated album is Tool's new one. I've never been more excited for a new album ever.

But if we have to stick to fall, then I don't really have anything to look forward to. Maybe APC's cover album and remix album, but I lost a lot of hope for how good it would be after hearing their Imagine cover.

Isn't Porcupine Tree releasing something soon? I'll have to find out so I can anticipate it if they are indeed about to put out a new album.

New U2, for me. Not sure what else is scheduled. I can't wait for the next Audioslave and Foo Fighters CD's, but those will probably be next year.

the only good record, as for my type of music goes, is the re-release of Foreign Objects, its Deron Miller and Jess Margera from CKY's band, before CKY. its been redone, new vocals, and remixing, along with the addition of James Murphy, whos an awsome metal solo-ist. the mix of Derons lead guitar riffs, and James solo's are going to make for a killer record. the rest of the "rock" genre SUCKS. this is the only thing saving me. oh.. and the new Rammstein, but im iffy about that one..

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - Shake the Sheets.

And it just came out today. :)

The new Beck CD was originally slated for October, it's since been pushed to January howeva.

So I'd have to say the new Jimmy Eat World CD. I'm not a big fan of their genre, but Bleed American was a great CD.

I dunno when Mos Def's new CD is comin out but I'm definitely anticipating that one.

Asta!!

Agreed. I didn't even know they were putting a new one out until now, and I'm already excited. I would also say the new Marylin Manson album, but that's already out. Does anybody have it yet???

Yep, they're supposedly working on it right now, sans Maynard until he's done with the new APC album(s) -- which should be right about now. Danny has said that from what they've written so far, it's going to be really heavy. He also said that they've been influenced by Mike Patton, Dave Lombardo, and Meshuggah while writing the new stuff. Personally, I'd prefer something more like the last half of Lateralus, but whatever they end up putting out will probably be incredible, so I'm not going to bitch.

KWSN 10-20-2004 01:49 PM

The Blood Brothers - Crimes. Been out for a few days now.

Also These Arms Are Snakes - Oxeneers (or The Lion Sleeps When its Antelopes Come Home), which has been out for a little less than a month IIRC, and I still unfortunately haven't managed to pick up.

that's all i can think of ATM.

I'm looking forward to the new TOOL as well. Maynard is god. Anyway, the new Manson album is good.. the dvd is good also. Of course the album is really just a greatest hits compilation.

stonegrody 10-20-2004 03:27 PM

APC's cover album
Mos Def's album
Now, the new Tool album!

scott_p_1 10-20-2004 05:18 PM

I was waiting intently for the new Q And Not U album, but it turned out to be horrible.
Now I'm waiting for the new The Mars Volta album.

I got a chance on the radio this week to preview the new U2 album coming out on the 23rd. I've been a huge fan of theirs since a friend played the whole Joshua Tree album for me. Since then I've snatched up their catalog and seen them a couple of times--for the Pop and All That You Can't Leave Behind tours. Naturally, I've been waiting for this one ever since I heard they were back in the studios in 2002. I suppose it's not that long, but these next 9 days will seem very slow indeed. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb has U2 sounding better than ever. Listen especially for the track "Love and Peace... Or Else".

peace.

brandon11983 11-15-2004 12:46 PM

The only thing I've been looking forward to this fall is the re-release of nine inch nails' The Downward Spiral on Super Audio CD and DVD-Audio. I am definitely buying them both on November 23rd.

Zephyr66 11-15-2004 02:16 PM

the new children of bodom one, severly doubt itll be this fall, but ive still been anticipating it all fall, so id say it counts
