I've heard it - great album. Very funny :)

Thanks for reminding me too....I missed Boston Legal last night :(

Dane Bramage 10-19-2004 08:21 AM

I just don't know what to say...

Um...

Yeah... speachless.

flamingdog 10-19-2004 09:06 AM

I have 'That's Me Trying'. To be honest, its only saving grace to me is the Ben Folds connection.

tspikes51 10-20-2004 11:15 AM

What in the hell??? I never knew of any album-making talent from Shatner.

The local college radio station has been playing it. I like what I heard so far.

soopafreek 10-20-2004 07:09 PM

dbc 10-21-2004 08:34 AM

I've listened to a combo album he did with leonard nemoy and it was pretty good. I'll check this out.

Dingo2879 10-21-2004 08:44 AM

Mancow plays it all the time, he is obsessed with Shatner!
It's odd, that's about all I have to say

heroquest 10-22-2004 11:02 AM

Heh, it looks very interesting.

the_marq 10-27-2004 09:23 AM

This is awesome. I know it's easy to dismiss cause, it's William FUCKING Shatner, but there is some pretty good music.

One one track he sings/raps about finding his wife's body floating in the swimming pool. But it's his cover of "Pulp's" Common People, that is the biggest bucket of awesome.

Pheer 10-27-2004 03:30 PM

Common People, Has Been and I Cant Get Behind That rock

William Shatner + Henry Rollins = WTF? Genius!

thesupermikey 10-27-2004 04:46 PM

i got the CD yesterday....Shatner is great. Ben Folds continues to put together wonderful music.

Jerron36 10-27-2004 09:29 PM

I heard one of the songs the other day...it's.....odd...???

This is an amazing album. While I expected it to be an extrapolation on Shatners cameo on Fear of Pop Volume 1, I was wonderfully surprised to find it goes much deeper than that. The team of Ben Folds and Shatner turned out amazing. Toss in talent like Henry Rollins, Flemming McWilliams, Sebastian Steinberg and John Painter, not to mention other amzing guest spots that I'm sadly not too familiar with, and you've got gold.

It's a wonderfuly personal album. From the inlet, which sums up the album very well:

It is an intensely collabrative work, in a time where such things are increasingly rare. It's not for everyone, but if you enjoyed Fear of Pop, or enjoy a quality experiment into music, you should definately pick this one up.

Jonsgirl 11-01-2004 10:27 PM

I just listened to a few of the songs (experiments?) from the album. I really enjoyed it. It easy to forget that he has real talent. But he does. And this only proves it. Again.

Well, maybe I can get behind that.

Jonsgirl 11-01-2004 10:27 PM

Oops. Double post. Please don't beat me.

much.

Latch 11-02-2004 05:54 AM

blitz.fenix 11-02-2004 07:04 AM
