Damn, this is tough...

Check out "Water From the Same Source" by Rachel's. I think that song does a good job of encompassing what the ensemble is all about. If you like classical or instrumental music you'll probably like Rachel's a lot.

Me First & The Gimme Gimmes - I Believe I Can Fly

The Gimmes offer an excellent cover of R. Kelly's song, "I Believe I Can Fly". Great tempo, excellent guitar work, and unique vocals. While you're at it, listen to every album they've ever released. You'll love 'em.

This is an extremely rare (at least I think it is) song.
It's a really good song, but it's not that rare - it's actually called "May This Be Love" and it's from the Are You Experienced? album.

(at least that's the song I think you're talking about.)

My choice would be Trieulogy, by KAK. A really interesting late-60s psychedelic song that will make you think!

Two Step by the Dave Matthews Band.

You can listen to the studio version if you wish and get some of it but the beauty of this song, like most DMB music, is live. There are pretty good version of it on both Live from Red Rocks and Listener Supported which are offical live releases from DMB. If you are more adventurous and know your way around the bootleg scene I would recommend getting DMB's concert in Montreal from 2002 where they do a 22 minute version with special guests Bella Fleck and the Flecktones.

"Bad Town" by Operation Ivy
Has a simple yet enjoyable guitar riff throughout the song, and the sax playing actually goes with the music. It's such a surprise to me because the punk band I used to play in tried its hand with a sax player and it sounded horrible.

I don't know the name of the song but it is from the trailer of the new Berserk game, which can be found at http://www.gametrailers.com/
For a direct link to the song itself, click: http://abhillz.home.mchsi.com/berserktrailer.mp3

The best part to me is around 2:08, where it suddenly picks up again. The song sounds completely unapologetic and it does not take a long time to pick up momentum, plus it goes damn well with the game trailer. When I listen to the song alone, it actually invokes images in my head of the manga (I've read most of it).

Human Drama - "This Tangled Web" After 15 years as a band with a rabid but small cult following, HD is playing their farewell show this December 10th in Los Angeles. A great loss to anyone who loves good music. If I could only take one of my 1000+ CDs with me for the rest of my life, it'd be HD's "The World Inside".
