Information on The Beatles

I have a research paper that i have decided to do on the beatles. I dont know much at all about them but enjoy there music so i figured it would be good because I will learn about them. The only problem is that the paper has to be 1500 words and I only have 800 but ive found all the info I can. There are'nt to many good sites that ive found. If anyone can help me out with a website or personal knowledge id appreciate it. I tried google and didnt find much.

1. Were not going to do your homework for you.

2. If you can't find information on The Beatles, your not trying hard enough.

Google didn't find much on the Beatles?

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,710,000 for "The Beatles".

I'd say that's a hell of a lot of information. Dig a bit deeper

A 1500 word essay? Are you in Grade 9?

Yeah no doubt. I remember writing about The Beatles my freshman year in high school for a term paper, and it was well over 12 pages. There is a ton of information out there concerning the Fab Four. If you're having trouble finding information on them, then you're definitely looking in the wrong places.

Check out the Beatles Anthology on video or DVD.

*edit- I think you'll have a hard time squeezing a proper history into a 1500 word essay.

Students have it way too damn easy these days. With Google and the internet as a whole, they don't really have to do research at all.

In my day, we had to go to the library! You know, the place with the books. And if we were lucky, there would be some microfilm! So you'd sit there in the library for hours with a huge desk with 20 books open and piled high. Not in front of a computer.

Grumble grumble. Kids these days. And I'm only 26 for crying out loud! Not even 5 years removed from college! I love Google and all, but it's resulting in what will be generations of lazy kids.

There is a lot on google but most of the sites that come up are selling stuff and just not good information it is just the basic stuff. I tried searching other phrases or words and got some better stuff. As for going to the library I did but most of the books on The Beatles where lost or checked out.

After being a little harsh in my irst post, I'll change and be helpful here.

Try and find a copy of The Beatles Anthology on video or DVD. It was produced by The Beatles as their side of the story. Most of the other material out there was written by others and I wouldn't trust their acuracy too much. The series originally aired on TV, but the DVD version has a lot of extra's that were not shown on TV. It was done before George's death and even before Linda McCartney's death.

There is a movie out there called Imagine as well that is a pretty good documentary on John Lennon's life.

There is a book form of the anthology also, but it is a very long read. Took me about 2 weeks, and I'm a diehard Beatles fan.

your trying to write the entrie history of the beatles? it seems like 1500 words won't be enough. why don't you try and be a little more specefic and write something like how they changed the way music is recorded.

I have that book too. I loved it.

Get that for your paper. If you can't write an essay just based on the info in there, you've got problems.

It's also expensive, so that is why I left it out of my suggestion. I bought it and have yet to begin reading it. It looks good on the bookshelf though.

if you assign a paper that requires students just go find out stuff about a topic, then averett is totally right--it is a stupid way to do things--i dont know many people who still give that kind of assignment at the university level for all the reasons she mentioned. usually, the counter to the easy (and superficiality) of websearching as surrogate research is to make the papers more conceptually oriented--which is why i wondered what the assignment was.

i cant think of a topic more worthless than "the beatles, how about them?" in conception and execution.
