Curse of 27
 

I was browsing through a book today in a bookstore, and it mentioned the "curse of 27". Evidently, a lot of rock legends and stars died at age 27. Hendrix, Joplin, Cobain all died at age 27. I can't find anything on the web about the curse. Can you think of any others who died at 27?

Jim Morrison and Tupac are the other big ones you hear about.

Kurt Cobaine, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, Brian Jones (Rolling Stones), Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison all died at the age of 27.

My name is Damian and i have this curse and have had it my whole life it follows me everywhere some good things but mostly bad including three tragic deaths, im almost 25 and not sure whats gonna happen to me when i turn 27 but its everywhere i see hundreds of times a day, if anyone else has this problem or wants to trade stories msg me.

This happens to me all the time and has done for as long as I can remember, lots of bad things have happend with the number 27 and a few good things have, this freaks me out all me mates think I'm really weird and that I just look out for it but they don't see it like I do, times we're I really cudnt of seen it, has. Well, unfortunately we'll have to add Amy Winehouse to that as well...

Since poster #5 hasn't posted in three years (well past his 27th birthday) we'll assume he too bought the farm. :rolleyes:

Does anyone find it weird that this thread came back right before Winehouse passed?

Also, she died the year I was in rehab for 4 months and all I did was sing that damn song of hers over and over again.
