Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young)
Who love these guys? I just dug out my old CDs of theirs and my dad's old vinyl and went back on a kick with these guys... Incredible songwriting, singing, and damn if it doesnt just *work*. Makes me want to break out the guitar again after not playing for a year.
Any favorite albums of theirs? I personally love Four Way Street.

Anything with Young, I don't have the albums, but I have listened to most of them, and for some reason I like the ones with Young more.. It's weird though.. From what I understand these were just guys hanging out playing songs, not trying to be stars or anything.. I guess thats why it's so good... It's legitimate music by musicians that wanted to make music.. not money..

CSN(&Y) have produced some of the greatest, most moving music in history, IMHO.
also, IMHO, the greatest harmonies EVER!

Carry On and Suite: Judy Blue Eyes - two of my favorite songs of all time by anyone ever.
Let's hope no one tries to cover them (a la Skynyrd's "Simple Man"). They would have to die.

Three songs guaranteed to get a great response from the audience (girls):

They're fucking great! I saw them at the civic center music hall here a few years ago, and the acoustics were incredible. Coincidentally, I just downloaded "Wasted on the Way" yesterday. I didn't realize it was from the early 80s. Their style, like Aerosmith's, is so consistent that it's hard to distinguish different "periods" in their work.

'Crosby, Stills and Nash' have a new CD (new material that is!) ready to be on the racks within a couple of weeks. Hope it's even half as good as their old stuff! Not sure why Young passed this over except that he's been busy with Greendale. They are all amazing musicians and singers.
