Are those names from the the Pink Floyd/Who era or recent pop crap styles that mean nothing to me for the most part?
just going by names alone, I am partial to Elisabeth but Jessica reminds of the classic 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?'

illinoiz 06-22-2004 12:29 AM

Dude, these are all references to Allman Brothers song titles...

ah I see, that falls under the:
'Are those names from the the Pink Floyd/Who era or recent pop crap styles that mean nothing to me for the most part?' line then in a general sense. I can name as many Pink Floyd songs as Allman Brothers song titles without looking them up; which is one at the most between both groups.

Indeed. I was trying to ask which of the 4 most famous Allman tunes named after women was everyone's favorite.

Doh.... I'm so stupid... I knew that! Sorry.... I'm on graveyard shift this week and have no brain!

I pick:

Crossroads, seem to come and go, yeah.
The gypsy flies from coast to coast

Knowing many, loving none,
Bearing sorrow havin' fun,
But back home he'll always run
To sweet Melissa... mmm...

Freight train, each car looks the same, all the same.
And no one knows the Gypsy's name

No one hears his lonely sighs,
There are no blankets where he lies.
In all his deepest dreams the Gypsy flies
with sweet Melissa... mmm...

Again the morning's come,
Again he's on the run,
Sunbeams shining through his hair,
Appearing not to have a care.
Well, pick up your gear and Gypsy roll on, roll on.

Crossroads, will you ever let him go? (Lord, Lord)
Will you hide the dead man's ghost,
Or will he lie, beneath the clay,
or will his spirit float away?

But I know that he won't stay without Melissa.

Yes I know that he won't stay without Melissa.
