Curiosa Festival 04

I got this from the cure's webpage, so it might look weird. This is a tour this summer, looking like it could be the best with just the names. The first list is the main stage and the second list is the 2nd stage. The only sad thing is that some bands are not doing the enire thing. Cursive is only doing west coast dates, i know that for sure.

Anyone checking this tour out?

Curiosa Festival 04

The idea for a Festival Tour came up last September during our rehearsals for
the KROQ show. We found ourselves really looking forward to playing with a
lot of other bands we like and thought "Why not put our own festival together
and take it out on the road next year?". We spent the winter putting the bill
together and think we've come up with the perfect summer day out. There will be
two stages and the bands will alternate; the running order on the main stage
will stay the same but the second stage will evolve as the tour progresses.
There will also be other stuff going on at every show - any suggestions you might
have please email us... thecure@thecure.com
Some of the dates are still to be confirmed but we will announce them here as
soon as they are definite. We hope you will all enjoy being a part of the
Curiosa Festival 2004 experience... love The Cure xxxxx

Head Automatica is amazing. I saw then open for Thursday. Its totaly different than Glassjaw, much more upbeat. Its really its own thing, you cant really compare it to anything. The webpage (headautomatica.com) has the single on it. Its worth checking out. I've heard some other songs from the album and they were all slightly different from each other, still great though.

If your looking at them because Daryl is in it, its NOTHING like glassjaw, so have a open mind. I think Rolling Stone called them a 60's garuge band with pop, punk, electronic, and other stuff. It was something like that. The album comes out in the next 2 months.

I first looked at them because of Daryl, but I stuck with them because the music is awesome. I've only heard two of their songs, Brooklyn is Burning and At the Speed of a Yellow Bullet (which KICKS ASS). I wish I could find that full album leak that I know is out there... or at least find out for sure when the album comes out. I've heard everything from June to July to August to September.

I'm probaby gonna go. The Cure and Muse alone are sufficient enticement. And I've been to the venue (DTE Energy Music Theater) before, it's a nice place. Lawn seats are pretty cheap.

Wish that Cursive would be there, though.

I'm baaaaack!

What a sad and depressed crowd that would be. Instead of being on mosh duty, the security guards would have to be on emo-inflicted suicide watch.

Teehee. Joking. Funny, no?

Yeah, you probably don't think it is funny, but I thought it was darn clever.
