Any DJ's out there, or just avid techno fans?
I'm an amatuer DJ and I've been into techno since 6th grade. Granted I listen to a wide variety of music and also play guitar, bass and piano, techno is my main genre right now. I spin downtempo and breakbeat.
Favorite DJ's/groups BT Paul Van Dyk Massive Attack Chemical Brothers Crystal Method Zero 7 Thievery Corporation Deep Dish Mark Farina Dan the Automator Propellerheads Portishead St. Germain Dzihan and Kamien |
I'm a DJ and a fan of good electronica music. I've been spinning for about 3 years and I spin mainly breakbeats, but I like to throw down with some Drum N Bass.

Underworld - "Pearl's Girl (tin there)"
|
BT - Blue Skies
|
Moby - "God Lives Underwater"
|
Delerium & Sarah McLachlan - Silence

I used to go to DEMA every year back when i was in the scene.. I guess when you get older your musical tastes change :(

wow... noone's actually mentioned the most popular trance song of all time... and, probably the best, as far as epic trance goes...
Robert Miles - Children though for me... I'd have to say Union Jack - Red Herring or the entire Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger album |
Darude - Sandstorm is hard to beat. I would say this is the top song of all time. It had about 10 remixes done.
Ian van Dahl - Castles in the sky. System F - Ferry Corsten - Out of the blue. Any version is great. All of you have picked great songs. Robert Miles, Delirium, etc. If you are interested in mixing the music. I use a great program that mixes songs together rather flawlessly. If any wants to know it, let me know. Glad |
I give another one for BT-blue skies and all its remixes. Another song too by Bt never gonna come back down.
