Modern, I don't know, I first thought of Pete Steele of Type O Negative, even if he's just a big hippy teddybear on the inside.... maybe Henry Rollins, maybe Ozzie for after all the drugs he's done, he's still walking.
Otherwise, Johnny Cash by far. Last edited by hilbert25; 05-10-2004 at 10:27 PM.. |

I'm gonna say Johnny Cash, by far.
However, honorable mentions go to: Glenn Danzig Jamie Jasta Otep (I wouldn't be caught dead picking a fight with that woman) Henry Rollins Frank Sinatra Dr. Dre ("ya'll rap about guns like I ain't got none"...nuff said) Devin Townsend (angriest man in metal) Yeah...get 'em all in a ring, see who comes out. My bet'd be on Johnny, but I'd be willing to bet that Dre might give him a run for his money.

Didn't the drummer from Def Leppard play with only one arm? I'd say in terms of having a positive "hard" attitude, he prevails. As far as bad attitudes go - Danzig, no doubt. I'm also going to mention Dave Mustaine, who if my recollection is accurate, was pronounced dead by doctors, then came back to life.
Angela Gossow is hot. Oscar Dela Hoya - HAHAHAHAH. That's hilarious. Is his CD any better than Shaq's? |

Motherfuckin' Hank Rollins hands down in a flat out fight, but Cash could kick your ass just by looking at you.

James Hetfield (Can't believe has not been mentioned)
Johnny Cash (The one and only RIP) David Allen Coe (Does'nt care who you are) Hank Williams Jr (The king of I'm drunk- lets fight) And it seems like i heard the entire band of Lynard Skynard liked to brawl back in the day. I just thought of someone else, I bet Ted Nugent would'nt take no shit off anyone either. |

Johnny Cash (may he rest in peace), Waylon Jennings (rest in peace as well), and Merle Haggard were all pretty goddamn tough, especially in their early days. I'd pick these three hands down over anyone else mentioned, and yes, that INCLUDES 50 cent.
Also, Sharon Osbourne is not someone who I'd want to be on the bad side of, either. She inherited a lot of her tricks from her father, who managed Black Sabbath in their early days, and was pretty tough in his dealings. Peter Grant, who managed Led Zeppelin during the 70's, was a particularly iron fisted giant who literally beat the living hell out of more than one individual on Zep's rise to power. If there's a list of tough-ass people in the music biz, he should be on it. Read Hammer of the Gods for the details.

I'll agree with crow_daw, who coincidentally named the same two people I came into this thread to nominate; 50 is tough as hell for surviving nine shots...but Johnny Cash's stare alone could set the tone anywhere he wants the tone set.
