Favorite song parts
This is like a favorite song thread, but for PARTS of songs that you like. Some songs have parts where you have to stop whatever you are doing to turn the volume up and enjoy how awesome that part is.
For example, I love "Layla." The entire song is great. But, the part of that song I absolutely love is before the piano starts, and the guitars are all over the place and their are a few vocal tracks riding on eachother. The climax, you could say, if the piano part is the, uh, afterlude (or whatever the phrasing is). Or in "Welcome to the Jungle", when Axl screams "You're gonna dyieeeeeee!" What are some of yours? |
Jesus.. I could write 100 of these.
I'll do the song I'm listening to now. Hero of the Day by Metallica (SM version). The guitar solo with the violin accompaniment is amazing, making it probably my fravorite song ever. |
*bump*
alright, I feel pathetic when I bump my own threads, but I think this is a good one! I'll throw another one out... at the end of the Portishead song "Half Day Closing" when Beth Gibbons' wail gets distorted to the point where it sounds like a siren. Please don't let me be the poster of 66% of this thread. |
Intro to Breathe by Pink Floyd, like Speak to Me all the way up until the lyrics come in.
|
Yea, I think this is a good thread. I also point out the best parts in like every song. I'll do the song I'm listening to as well. In date rape by sublime the best part is "but the guards paid no attention to his cries" wait maybe its "he was butt raped by a large inmate"
In soil by system of a down it's the solo, the part thats like ba na na na ba na na na ba na na na ba na na |
In The Hunger, by The Distillers, when it's all quiet and then the drums and guitar kick in all hardcore and she begins to scream.
|
Stew, "The Instrument of Pain", the instance of the chorus that begins with just the female vocalist singing. It's great.
Love is not the enemy of life No-oh, love can give more freedom than it, taakes, if you like |
The opening drum solo for "Hot for Teacher" must always be turned up to 11.
|
Belle & Sebastian's "Beautiful": "If you knew what's going on in her life, what's going on in her life..." That fragment right there. It's, um, beautiful.
|
"Paranoid Android" - Radiohead. The "Rain down" section.
|
The guitar intro in The Beatles "I've just seen a face" gives me goosebumps to this day.
|
I like Mitch Mitchell's drumming on Fire with Jimi Hendrix. The drum intro is very good, as is the drumming for the rest of the song.
Also, does anyone else think that the guitar riff in Layla sounds a lot like Until it Sleeps - Metallica? |
The Mars Volta - Drunkship of Lanterns
LASH OF ONE THOUSAND EYEBROWS CLI-I-KIN COUNTING THE TOLL, COUNTING THE TOLL A mark-out moment. |
Tool - Pushit (the live version from Salival). Probably the best climax ever, especially since the song is 14 minutes long. Just thinking about it gets me all tingly.
If, when I say I may fade like a sigh if I stay, You minimize my movement anyway, I must persuade you another way. There's no love in fear. Staring down the hole again. Hands upon my back again. Survival is my only friend. Terrified of what may come. Just remember I will always love you, Even as I tear your fucking throat away. But it will end no other way. |
The Beginning of:
The Blood Brothers - Junkyard J VS. Skin Army Girlz (High Fives/LA Hives) I absolutely love the base lead in and the first two lines: "...roll film...screams scissor lips" It just sounds sooooooo cool and I'm not sure why. And FoolThemAll, I TOTALLY agree with that part of Drunkship of Lanters. Kickass. EDIT: Oh, another blood brothers moment... the fuzzy keyboard lead-in + kickass screaming start to the verse in Cecelia and the Silhouette Saloon "*do dloo do doo, do dloo do doo, do dloo do doo, do dloo do doo, do dloo do doo, do dloo do doo, doo-doo doo-doo do dododoo* MURDER = WHITE OOOOOUT!!!!" badass. |
N.E.R.D. - Wonderful Place about 4:19 into the song it starts to own.. imo :p
Thursday - For the Workforce, Drowning @ 2:34 into the song..just builds up and then bam rocks on Lostprophet - Burn, Burn @ 1:50 into the song until it ends gotta have that up loud when the music and all comes back into play ;) Nothingface - I Wish I Was A Communist @ 1:08 when all is pretty quiet and then the drums start to pick up..just goes hard from there, just awesome imo! |
Colt 45 by Afroman
And as the marijuana burns we can take our turn Singin them dirty raps songs As we stop, and hit the bong Like Cheech and Chong Sell tapes from here to Hong Kong Busted out laughing first time I heard. |
I like the rhythm/lead part of Heartbreaker by Led Zeppelin after the guitar solo without the rest of the band
|
Intro to Chop Suey by System of a Down, the end to Politik by Coldplay.
|
Nirvana Unplugged- Where Did You Sleep Last Night?
At the 3:01 mark, it changes and gets more intense, until the climax at the end. One of Nirvana's last performances, you can really feel the emotion. Also, Tool-Forty Six and Two. at 5:04, right after the kickass guitar solo until the end of the song. I listen to both of these at full blast all the time. |
The chorus of "The Masterplan" by Oasis makes me all warm and fuzzy, as do the harmonica sections they use when playing it live. Ah, beautiful.

Fantomas - Delirium Cordia:
10:50 (when the scraping of bone starts) 15:33 - when the high pitched moaning starts, but suddenly fades into this eerie piano at 16:00. It reminds me of blood flowing down some rocks.. like a gentle stream in the middle of the night. Faith No More - Midlife Crisis : "Go on and wring my neck.." till the chorus and "What an inheritance..." till the chorus. Very raw, and along with the music, sounds delightfully demented. Love it! Tomahawk - Harelip: I was awake all through the surgery The people dancing, laughing, all for me You sewed me up but it will never heal Will I forget then learn to smile some day? Tool - Aenima: (The drums on this part are sweeeeeeeeeet) Some say the end is near. Some say we'll see armageddon soon. I certainly hope we will cuz I sure could use a vacation from this Silly shit, stupid shit... One great big festering neon distraction, I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied. Learn to swim. Mom's gonna fix it all soon. Mom's comin' round to put it back the way it ought to be. |

or Behind Blue eyes (Limp Bizkit Version) before the says "L-I-M-P discover. " I like the guitar solo by slash at the end of Novermber Rain. "sunday Bloody sunday" the guitar in there is good. |
In AFI's Death of Seasons, at 1:10ish, when it turns all technoy, and it has the lyrics to match... That song caught me the first time I heard it, and I was amazed at how good it sounded, being one who hates techno with a passion..
Oh, and KWSN, I believe I have you to thank for my new obsession with Blood Brothers.. in Ambulance vs. Ambulance, there's the parts when he's going "never see your wife and children..." and "never see your office again...", and I love the singing in the background in Burn Piano Island Burn.. |
Here are a few of my favorites:
Nelly, P. Diddy, Murphy Lee (quite a cast, I know) - Shake Ya Tailfeather The beginning starts with the "Atlanta Braves chant," and is followed by police sirens.. Then, there is total silence for one second, and a "Ding!" sound. I love it. Nickelback - Someday This is a great song.. I really like it a lot. I really like the chorus in this song. It's really emotional and it kind of makes me wish I was in the situation the singer is singing about (as wrong as that may sound). The song really strikes me, and I am currently single, but it makes me kind of desire to be in the situation this song is about, just so I would be able to relate to, and enjoy it more. Anyway, I am straying from the task at hand here. :) Everlast - What It's Like I really dig Everlast's music. This song opens with a description of a homeless man outside a liquor store, begging for some change. He asks a man for some money, to which he is told to get a job, etc. I used to have a mindset a lot like the man telling the homeless guy off, and this song kind of gave me a reality check. It really put things into perspective, and I credit this song with helping me to have less of a negative view of the homeless in general. It's easy to tell them to go get a job like the rest of us, but much harder to actually listen to their story long enough to sympathize with them. Guster - Medicine Another favorite of mine. Honestly, I couldn't tell you all the lyrics, I just dig the song. I like the solo portion at the beginning a lot. I think I enjoy this song more by not knowing all the lyrics, just because I think one of the reasons I enjoy it so much is because I don't understand what every single word is. Saliva - Click Click Boom Love the chorus, love the loudness. It's a nice rock out song. I really like how the guitar riffs tie into the lyrics and mimic them at times. It's a bumpin' song. Scapegoat Wax - Aisle 10 I work in a super market. I can relate to this song; it's kind of freaky. :) This song reminds me of that short story/poem A&P where the guy quits his job to get with the chicks in the parking lot, and gets denied. It's not the same really, but similiar. I work back in produce, and we are always checking out the ladies. It's probably one of the few things I enjoy about the job. If I had a theme song for a current stage of my life, this could be it! I like the part where the singer says he is finally going to get the courage to talk to this hot customer, and imagines what it will be like if they were to hook up. The scream of despair at the end is also a highlight. Tupac - Changes Awesome song. Whenever he raps about the cops shooting blacks, it reminds me of the times this has happened in the news lately, and how in many cases it seems excessive force was used. Santana - Why Don't You and I A great feel good song; and one many guys can relate to. The lyrics regarding him trying to talk to a female and the words coming out wrong is something most guys are likely familiar with. Outkast - Happy Valentine's Day "When arrows don't penetrate; Cupid grabs the pistol." 'Nuff said. Love it. :) 3 Doors Down - Here Without You Another song that makes me kind of wish I was in the situation the singer is in. It's hard to describe. Granted, he is singing about missing a girl he really loved a lot, but in order to have that experience he must have really loved before, and thus misses her a lot now. It's weird how people desire things they don't, or can't have. I guess that is what's going on with me and this song here. The songs lyrics aren't that diverse, but I think it works in this case. I like the quiet opening, with the solo voice. The entire song is pretty much a solo, but the opening is really effective. Bassic - Zurich This song has one lyric, and it's repeated throughout: "Zurich." It's driven by the beats and synthesizers, and near the middle it slows down to a single instrument, and then picks up again at a rapid pace. Trapt - These Walls The guitar work at the end of this song is all excited and "high," but right before ending, it all slows down and drops the listener down lightly. Very nice. AudioVent - The Energy The intro to this soung is great. The song is about energy, and it starts like it's slowly building up energy, until 30 seconds in it stands up and kicks your ass. I'm a fan. ---- Hey look, I ended up writing a small novel! Apologies to those that don't enjoy reading, and also if I strayed from the post's intent. Music is wonderful and writing about how it affects us is also a wonderful thing. Take care. |
Glad someone else has heard of them, let alone likes them, mrcraptastic!
Another moment: The whole spoken intro to At the Drive-In - Enfilade. *ring* *ring* "hello?" "Hello, Mother Leopard. I have your cub. We must protect her... but that will be expensive. Ten-thousand cola nuts, wrapped in brown paper. Midnight, behind the box. I'll be the hyena. You'll see." *bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz* *reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaooooooorrrrrrrrrw* That's such a cool song. |
Enfilade is indeed awesome.
Muse - New Born When the distorted guitar kicks in loudly for the first time. When the cymbals kick in shortly thereafter. When the chorus kicks in. |
Intro to Thunderstruck
|
Guitar solo in Manfred Mann's version of " Blinded By The Light" and the intro to Zeppelin's " Since I've Been Loving You"
|
in when levee breaks by zeppelin, page plays an accompanied change, cant think of a better way to describe it, but the tone and effect of the guitar is so awesome
|
Any part in Like a Rolling Stone, or the guitar solos in
Steely Dan's Reelin in the Years |
Quote:
I love those parts in the song. |
i mean like 2:25ish
|
about 2:00 into Under My Skin by Mudvayne when Kud just starts goin off... "you were there like a punk..."
|
Opeth - The leper affinity
The part where Mikael is singing: "I am beyond death Midst a dreaming affinity Saving strength now, faint whispers Come erotic communion in its splendour" is pure orgasm :D |
In "So Much Pain" by Ja Rule(whom I hate), I fucking LOVE Tupac's verse, and my favorite part is right before he starts rapping, he says "They'll never take me alive" and it repeats about three times before he finally busts out his rap, which is one of the greatest rap verses in the history of hip hop, despite it being on a track who's feature artist is Ja Fucking Rule.
|
i have tons
The only Matchbox Twenty song I like, Bright Lights, when the piano and drums "ba baba ba baba ba" and Rob Thomas screams "GOD'S SAKES TURN AROUND" and the solo that follows. Taking Back Sunday in the song "Head Club" when the lead singer desprately moans out "i'm sick of writing everysong... I'm sick of writing every song about you..." In John Mayer's Room For Squares, the song "St. Patricks Day" when it turns all christmas(y) In Too Far Gone by The All American Rejects where the bridge is a distorted guitar with a synth. Very cool In the song "Reptilia" from The Stroke's newest album Room on fire, the solo is great and the lyrics "didn't I tell you this world is not for you" and the lyrics there after. Great song |
Desaparecidos - man and wife, the former <financial planning>:
At the beginning, before the vocals start, the guitar is nice and heavy. Senses fail - bloody romance:1:07 "you and me, are like one heartbeat" Blur- Song 2: The intro up untill 20 seconds in. Bouncing Souls- Born Free: 0:48-1:10 "Better to die on your feet than live on your knees. We get message loud and clear, we refuse to live in fear." |
Placebo's "Without You I'm Nothing". From "I'm unclean..." to the end. It just builds and builds and builds.
|
Quote:
The intro into "Welcome to the Jungle" should always be turned up as well, right up to the "You're Gonna Dieeeeeeee" as has already been mentioned. I like the ending to "Out Ta Get Me" where he says "...and you can suck me!! Take that one to heart!!" |
Intro to:
King Crimson, Sleepless - Tony Levin going APESHIT on chapman stick Primus & Ozzy, N.I.B - Les Going Apeshit on Bass Intro and Outro of AC/DC "For Those About to Rock" - The build up much like Thunderstruck, and the Cannons at the end "FIRE!" That single measure guitar lick near the end of Weezer , Buddy Holly Counting Crows, Rain Kingm ebnd of the last verse "She's been <i>dyin'</i> and I've been drinkin' and Iaiaiai am the rain king...." The Fast bit near the end of RHCP - Soul to Squeeze |
Fantomas, The Director's Cut.
Rosemary's Baby theme |
The very end of "Tangled Up in Blue" by Bob Dylan, he solos on the harmonica and it's just amazing, maybe even better than the part before with words. Same case with "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry", the very end where they sort of go loose is just incredible. The very end of "Standing in the Doorway" and "Til I Fell in Love With You" are equally great at the very end just as it fades out. Same with "Hurricane".

I also like the middle part of the Beatles' "You Never Give Me Your Money", with the honky-tonk piano. The beginning half plus the transition of Elton John's "Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" is one of my favorites. The whole song is excellent, actually. And of course the guitar solo on Freebird. |
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH can't believe I forgot this:
EVERY SINGLE PART of Indian Poker pt. 3 by Brainiac.... the sounds that it makes before the lyrics are just haunting and awesome, you feel them in your chest and in your spine, it's crazy... and the lyrical section is also AAAAAAAAAWESOME. Damn... I love that song. RIP Tim Thomas :( EDIT: OK, OK, OK. One more and I'm done: The guitar intro to Bad Brains - Fearless Vampire Killers Just SOOOOO badass. |
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody...
The solo guitar outro!!! *HEADBANGS* |
-> The opening to Toni Braxton's Spanish Guitar and pretty much the rest of the song when the guitar plays softly during the non-vocal parts
-> Unbreak My Heart from Toni which has a similar sounding guitar in the opening and background and the point that sticks in my mind - 3:56 to 4:02 where she hold the note for six seconds. Not quite as long in the spanish version but almost as long there too. -> Seven Come Eleven as played by Benny Goodman and company. The recording I have in mind is 8:44 or thereabouts and the opening is a wonderful slow buildup started by the drums that really gets roaring by the end. |
The instrumental outro to "Sir Psycho Sexy" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. The whole song is great, but the ending always takes me by surprise.
|
The rhythm parts in NIN Ringfinger have me hooked right now.
|
My favorite song part is the clean guitar interlude during "To Live is To Die" starting at 5:02 going up to about 6:45 after the distortion kickes in again. The solo in that part is so simple but it's just perfect. It's also the only time you ever hear the bass in the album.
|
NIB-the entire bass line but especially the begining just brings a tear to my eye. its more noticeable in the primus version rather than the sabbath version but god damn its just plain beautiful.
the bass line in Mr Krinkle by Primus is also pretty bad ass where he screeches a violin thing ( i ferget what its called) over the string. I saw them play this song live and Les had a stick with 1 bass string on it with a tightener on the top and one on the bottom that he worked with his foot. it was mighty excellent. On the New Anthrax album they have a song called Refused to Be Denied the guitar riff Scott Ian plays is both heavy and melodic Pinball Wizard by the Who, start of the song with the acoustic jamming. see if i can think of more later but those are the ones that immediately come to mind that havent already been said |
Led Zepplin - Immigrant song - AHHHHHHH ah AHHHHHH ahhhhhh!
A perfect circle - Weak and Powerless - Little angel part Tool - Third Eye "PRYING OPEN my third eye, and the Bill Hicks openings |
The drum lick in Nickelback's 'This is how you remind Me' - no matter what I'm doing I end up with my sticks out and drumming away.
The guitar intro to the Beatle's 'I'm Fine' - just makes me want to bop my head from side to side :) - Also the instrumental solo in 'In my life' 'The Battle' from the Gladiator Sountrack- I really like the whole song, but the climax which then fades away and then builds back up really gets me every time. |

"The End" by the Doors...
Father.. I want to kill you, Mother.. I want to... FUCK YOU ALL NIGHT LONG! The Oedipus complex :) |
The end of Yes - Gates of Delerium when Howe plays a simply breathtakingly beautiful solo while using his volume pedal.
I also love the end of Mike Oldfield's "Ommadawn (part 2)" when the song goes into a very simple theme where Oldfield sings about the wonderful feeling of just appreciating the small things in life. The chorus is eventually backed up by a childrens voices, which makes it sound like a childrens song. The contrast between this theme and the other 35 minutes of the album, which consist of completely instrumental themes, is so huge that it puts the you soundly back on earth after traveling through all the strange dimensions the album carries you through. |
In Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song: where he goes "...Valhalla I am coming-ing-ing-ing" and "...we are your overlor-ooh-ooh-ords." He's not even bothering to fill those extra syllables with words. How cool is that??
|
Pearl Jam - Rearviewmirror (any live version), The guitar buildup before the last verse where Eddie starts screaming, "Saw things (4x) clearer once you were in my rearviewmirror" and the way he carries the line, "Finally the shades are raised".
|
RetroCrush just put out their THE 50 COOLEST SONG PARTS. A pretty good list, and they have downloads of the cool parts. Put 'em in a playlist and rock out!
|
About 2 minutes into Every Breath Is a Bomb by the Blood Brothers, he starts yelling
SAY WHY YOU PULL THE PLUG SAY WHAT YOU CUT THE CHORD over and over again |
First thing that came to mind when I read the question:
Fear Factory - Securitron -The bridge part where Burt starts, almost whispering "There is no place to hide..." The music gradually builds up, until Burt is absolutely screaming at the top of his lungs: "This is a warning so you must take heed / This coming vision is reality," the guitar part repeats a couple bars, stops suddenly, then picks up again with Burt singing the chorus. Johnny Cash - The Man Comes Around -Not even part of the song, technically, but the clips of Cash reading from Revelations before and after the song. Him ending on the line "... and Hell followed with him" gives me a chill every time I hear it. |
Quote:
"Oh no she's gonna make it out OK...." BTW redlemon, I love that list because unlike many lists these days it's not pretentious at all and doesnt come across like something written by an asshole. Good show. |

Tool:
Pushit, slow version. near the end... "and I must persuade you another waaaaaaaaaaaaaayy" he holds the note longer then the album version "pushing and shoving and pushing and shoving me....theres no love in FEEEEAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!" |
Yes I did and although it may be the only remotely cool part of that song, it's really not a cool drumfill. It only has the illusion of being cool because the rest of the song sucks so much. Maybe, just maybe it could be worthy of being on the list but it belongs somewhere in the 40-50's.
If any drum fill belongs in there it should be the double bass fill in "Angel of Death" by Slayer. |
Styx- "Suite Madam Blue" right after the synthesizer solo when the kick ass guitar comes in, Has always been my favorite climax of a song. Always played very loud.
|
The beginning of Tool's "Lateralus". The whole song is among my favorites ever, but the introduction always gets me hyped up :)
|
Mother Love Bone---Crown Of Thorns, when they come back from the interlude and the lead singer says "KICK IT"...
|
Since its back, I will post one.
Alkaline Trio - Blue Carolina When Mr. Andriano sings this part: "Someday I'll burn this bed Only two feet wide Where I'll hide For the next 17 days I will ask myself how badly do I want this?" I always love that. I even cut my wife off mid-sentence a few times to turn it up. |
the piano at the end of Closer by NIN

I also like the middle part of the Beatles' "You Never Give Me Your Money", with the honky-tonk piano. QUOTE] it's in my mind now (thankyou very much!) outta college money spent see no future pay no rent all my money's gone, no where to go.. |
Explosions in the Sky's "The Only Monent We Were Alone"
The climax right before the end gives me goosebumps every time. |
The intro/beginning of "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood
The buildup and climax/end of System of a Down's "Soil": "why the fuck did you take him away from us you motherfucker!" First time I heard it, I was speechless. After that, every time I play that song, its all in anticipation of that line. |

Today my favorite moment(s) has been the piano part in "Butterflies and Hurricanes", also by Muse, off of Absolution. Any time the piano really comes to the fore in that song...it's just awesome. |
Shit okay I'm gonna be all over this thread really.
First ANY of the guitar solos David Gilmour does are my favorite parts of Pink Floyds songs...Also on "The Final Cut" where David sings "Theres a kid who had a big hallucination!" I love that part. Rush 2112 the Sililoquy portion where he just busts out and goes "JUST THINK OF WHAT MY LIFE MIGHT BE!! IN A WOOOOORLD LIKE I HAVE SEEN! I DON'T THINK I CAN CARRY ON! CARRY ON THIS COOOOLD AND EMPTY LIFE......OOO OOH NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" and then one of the most gut wrenching kick ass guitar solo's I've ever heard comes in and owns my ears(Alex Lifeson love him!). The entire Silioquy segment yes. Supertramp - Don't Leave Me Now guitar solo and on O Lord Is It Mine? the chorus.."When everythings dark! And nothing seems right. You don't have to win and theres no need to fight" then it goes "So give us an answer won't you?! There must be a thousand voices tryiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing to get through" So awesome. Pearl Jam - Black "Oooo ooo ooo ooo oh I'm spinnin! Hoow oow quick the sun caaaan drop awaaaaaaaaay ee ay ee ay ee ay ee ay ee ay and now my bitter hands!...." Counting Crows - Round Here "You says she's tired of life SHE MUST BE TIRED OF SOMETHING ROUND HERE!!!!" In the live version he says "SHE MUST BE FUCKIN TIRED OF SOMETHING!!" It's crazy haha....On Anna Begins "And everytime she sneezes I believe it's love and oooh oo oh oh I'm not ready for this sort of thing." On Miami towards the end where he sings "So come on baby yeah! Come on baby hey ay yeah!.." that whole ending sequence I love it I sing it at the top of my lungs. Many many other parts of their music. Travis - Luv where he sings "So whats so wrong why the face sooooo loooong? Are you changing?" Queen - Born To Be Kings "We've got to be the rulers of you aaaaaaaaaalllll!!!!!!!" YES! Love Of My Life "Bring it back! Bring it back! Don't take it away from me because you don't knooooow...what it means to me! Love of my life! Love of my liiiiiife! oooooh oooooh (harp outtro)" love it! Somebody To Love - "Everybodies tryin to bring me down!! etc. etc." Who Wants To Live Forever "Who dares to love foreeeeeeevaaaar?!!!!!" Damien Rice - The Blowers Daughter "I can't take my mind off of you! I can't take my mind off of you! I can't take my mind off of you..I can't take my mind off of you..I can't take my mind off of you...." Cold Water when Lisa Hannigan kicks in and sings "Love..ones..daughter..allow me that" On I Remember where Damien kicks in and sings "I wanna hear! What you have to say about me! Hear!! If you're goin to live without me...." etc. It's awesome. The Beatles - The Long And Winding Road "Don't leave me waiting here. Lead me to your doooooooooooooooooooor!!!! Yeah yeah yeah yeah!" and then it ends. One of the best endings I've heard. :D Gavin Degraw - Belief...I basically like the chorus especially towards the end of the song. Okay the ultimate...Aerosmith - Dream On "Dream on! Dream On! Dream On! Dream On!...DREAM ON! DREAM ON! DREAM ON! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHH AHHHH AHHH AHHHH AHHH AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Bad Company - Running With The Pack...towards the end where the piano kicks in and Paul starts singing "You can't hold down! You can't HOLD me back! I'm movin on! Movin out! Yeah yeah heah heah!" Blues Travler - Look Around, Just Wait...The guitar solo's. Bread - If "Then one by one the stars would all go out...And you and I would siiiiimply flyyyyy awaaaaaaay" Lost Without Your Love "If we had love before...we can have it back once more" Aubrey "But God I miss the girl and I'd go a million times around the world just to be...closer to her than to meeee" beautiful Cat Stevens - Father And Son "If they were right. I'd agree but it's them they know not me now theres a way and I know that I have to go away..I know..I have to go." Jason Mraz - Absolutely Zero the very last chorus line the way he sings "happen to me" during "So who am I? To say this situation isn't great when my time to make the most of it. How could we ever know that this could happen to me..Not that easy no..no no no no. If all along the fault is up for grabs why can't you have it? If it's for sale go make your offer I will sell it for not less than what I bought it for. PAY NO MORE THAN ABSOLUTELY ZEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Love love" That last note is just awesome. Boy can he sing. Jim Croce - I Got A Name "Like the fool I am and I'll always be! I got a dream! I got a dream!" Lifehouse - Quasimodo "Cause I don't want it! I don't want it!" Los Lonely Boys - Dime Mi Amor "Oh baby! Cause you know I'ma stand by my woman!" Ours - Sometimes, Fallen Souls...what else? The screams!! Rufus Wainwright - Natasha ...toward the end where he sings the last note during the chorus "Oh Natasha..All I can do..Is write a song..for you..Naaataaaaaaashaaaaaaaaa" and then the string arrangements end the song it's actually quite beautiful. Silverchair - Anthem "Maybe we don't wanna live in a world where you you can't at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!" at least I think thats what he's saying. Steam Will Rise..the chanting outtro....Tuna In The Brine..the final bridge where he sings "Closer now then we ever have been we're closer now than we ever should be we're closer now than we ever been before, closer to everything..." all the way to the end where it gets to my fave part "So all of the animals who..Keep sippin the sweat from my back! You're making me ill and I can't get enough..so take another pill, and tell another lie, and lie amongst your lies..like tuna in the brine." Too Much Of Not Enough "You'll never stop needing, you'll never stop needing, and it's good for nothing ooh oooh ooh oooooooh oooooh oooooh" My Favorite Thing "Blind the deafen moon..stimulate the tombs of angels" then of course the way Daniel ends that song is just amazing. I'll stop there for now and think of more by tommorow. Asta!! |
