The original lineup is back but bad news on the album. Arista was thier label and the album was complete with a new single already out to radio....and then out of nowhere Arista dropped TFF. So they are now looking for a new label to put out the album.
Stay tuned. |

Oh really? How come they meet with such a lack of support? They seem to be one group that just keeps getting better in my humble opinion. Keep us All posted asgreat tunes are always needed.
Huge thanks for your input. You rock!

Thanks to the illicit wonders of the intarweb I've been able to listen to this (the album name is "Everybody Loves A Happy Ending"). Smith and Orzabal are in fact reunited and I don't think it is purely monetarily motivated. Although I can't help but think that the success of Gary Jules' (crappy) cover of "Mad World" has something to do with a new release.
The album is good though, and I give it a 3.5 out of 5. Smith's distinct voice is slightly different but not in a bad way. I suppose twenty years of aging will do something to a singer's voice. The heavy synth-driven pieces are gone (I did like those) but the familiar melancholy and catchy choruses are still there. After only a couple of listens, the songs "Closest Thing To Heaven" and "Who Killed Tangerine?" have caught my hear. One of these will surely be played to death on easy-listening stations unfortunately. |

Just got a chance to listen to the CD. Sounds very much like a TFF CD, which means that it sounds very much like the Beatles.

I finally heard a cut from the new CD & so far I like it alot ! When can I buy it? Umm - I buy legally (usually - unless my friends are feeling friendly) "Wink, wink, nudge, nudge".
You're right...there is a Beatle quality to TFF and I suppose that's part of the magic they create. I've heard they are coming in summer to the Bay Area - San Fran or nearby....am I dreaming or what? Question 2. - Is the Jet CD called "Born Yet"any good? LOVE the cut Apple used on TV spot "Are you gonna be my girl?" Please say the rest rocks Big Time too!!!
