Guns N Roses!
I just bought the Greatest Hits album. I've been listening to it for an hour or so and I just can't get this stupid grin off my face. I don't know what it is about their songs. I guess it reminds me of highschool, when I first started listening to rock. What a kick ass stage.
Anyhow, just thought I'd share that. Back to the cd :) |
g'n'r will always rock.
|
Yeah, thats one of the reasons music is the best. A song can take you back in time, whether it is good or bad, and you can feel and reminisce that moment in your life. Guns and Roses "November Rain", reminds me of my 8th grade years, and how i was such a mallrat
|
i still have november rain in my regular playlist.
gunners will always be cool to me. even if Axl did get a little too rock n roll for society in general. |
what's the track listing the greatest hits?
|
guns n' roses obviously rock, but why get the greatest hits??? i expect everyone to pick up appetite, lies, and the use your illusions seperately so every track can be heard!
|
I remember when Apetite for Destruction came out...I was in sixth grade, I had the T-shirt, I was my sound track...One of the best albums of all time I say...To this day it goes unmatched.
|
I was really into GNR when I was about 13, but then I started listening to Ice Cube, Public Enemy, NWA...
|
Pick up the tribute album!! its from Law of Intertia records, got some of the not so popular gNr songs from Dillinger Escape Plan, Death Cab for Cutie, Most Precious Blood, Every Time I Die, Zombie Apocolyps!! good shit!
|
I guess greatest hits albums are cool if you are a casual fan and don't own the cds. I don't get why someone who has the albums would buy the cds though.
GnR used to be cool. Now they are a shadow of themselves. Axl is fat and had botox injections. China will be a democracy before Chinese Democracy is released! |
I'm not or never have been a big fan of Guns and Roses only because of Axl. I think he sucks as a singer. However, I think Slash plays a pretty mean axe.
|
Greatest Hits
1 Welcome To The Jungle 2 Sweet Child O' Mine 3 Patience 4 Paradise City 5 Knockin' On Heaven's Door 6 Civil War 7 You Could Be Mine 8 Don't Cry (Original) 9 November Rain 10 Live And Let Die 11 Yesterdays 12 Ain't It Fun 13 Since I Don't Have You 14 Sympathy For The Devil |
looking at that list i would have put mr. brownstone on there and gotten rid of the covers. as far as i am concerned a greatest hits album should only have the bands originals.
|
I was at HMV the other night and it was sort of an impulse buy (along with the Weezer DVD). Figured I could have something to listen to on the way home. Plus I can't for the life of me figure out where my old CDs are, and even if I did find them, I'm pretty sure my GNR cds are pretty scuffed up.
|
I said it in another thread about GnR, I already own GnR's greatest hits, it's called "Appetite for Destruction".
Nothing else came close by anyone...ever. |
appetite was a classic. i love that album so much. not a weak song on there.
still think axl is abit of a tw@t, but gnr were truely genius. |
weird, i was just listening to this album in my truck today and come home to see this topic :D
great band, and that is non-debatable. |
