I was able to see them last night live. What a show. If you even remotaly like them, see the show live, you will love it. Geoff Rickley is amazing, and is very emotional when he gets in to it. They only played for an hour, so that was a little bit of a downer, but it was a great show.

The opening bands were The Bronx, Head Automatica, and Piebold. Head Automatica was the best other than thursday. It is the side project of Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw and he was amazing. He kinda moved about the stage like Mango, from SNL skits, but the music was techno-ish with lots of rock.

Anyone else want to share there Thursday stories?

Ya I saw them with Deftones and Thrice back in november. They played like a 4 song set. I was not really a Thursday fan before the show, and after seeing them live I am most definately not a Thursday fan. Honestly, thought their live show was pretty bad, singer sounded horrible.

I went to the venue they were going to be at, with me and my friend and with only one ticket, and in hopes that they would be for sale when we got there so she could buy one. they were sold out, so i scalped sp? my ticket because i'm a good friend :D...but i would definitely go to see them if they come around again!

I saw them with Thrice on Halloween last year at the Palace in Hollywood. It was a pretty solid show, I not a huge fan of Thursday, but it was cool. I really like their second to latest album "Full Collapse" and only moderately like "War All the Time" because it has only five decent songs (ironically, the first five on the album).

i dont think that is irony, you dont like the song "war all the time"?, i think thats a good one, but i like paris in flames and i am the killer the best out of their repertoire, i was listening to them this morning coincidentally, i think im a better singer than their singer is

Extremely unrelated, my ex-girl friend and I took her little brother Shawn to a Christian Youth rally last year and there was a kid with a Thursday shirt on and I bet her that the kid with the shirt wouldn't get up and sing and participate...

Lets just say, I was right...

I've heard alot of thier stuff but i'm not a big fan of it. As of late I've been getting off of the whole "thursday" kind of music train and I'm really into three bands; Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional and Brand New...

Good Stuff

Those are three really great bands. Have you checked out From Autum to Ashes? Its a lot harder, but they kinda go good along with Thursday and the bands you listed.
