It's kinda sad that Limp Bizkit is getting so much attention from a song they didn't write. .. The Who's nicer

Thank you! When I heard the LB cover for the first time, I thought "Oh no... this is going to be terrible." The one thing I thought might give their version some merit would be the bridge. If nothing else, LB can at least pound the crap out of a song, and if there ever was a good time to do it, it's the bridge in "Behind Blue Eyes." I envisioned them getting to the last verse before the bridge, then doing a major building feedback thing into WHAM!

But....nothing. No explosion. No bridge (unless you count Mr. Speak and Spell)

How, oh how can you cover Behind Blue Eyes without the damn bridge??

WTF?

I agree on that with this song, but some covers are REALLY quite good. I Fought the Law by Green Day is pretty good (for a recent one)... Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet is also a decent new one.

Some covers are good, some suck. But it's ALWAYS a good thing to check out the original for comparison.

i was watching Gothika the other day... not a bad movie not a good movie.. but that's where this whole thing started.

I don't like the song from him, I much prefer the original WHO version.

I have liked Limp Bizkit from the beginning, all the way through to their last album. Behind Blue eyes is a great cover, I have it on the CD I'm listening to now. I guess I have moe of an open mind when it comes to their music, I know some people like them cause their friends like them, I know a lot of people don't like them because it's cool not to like them as well. I like their music, to me it sounds cool, and it never really gets old with me. Regardless of what people think about Durst, whether or not they stopped listening to them when Wes Borland left, I don't care. I like their music for the music, plain and simple.

[QUOTE= And don't tell me because their music sucks... they are the Led Zepplin/Who of our generation. Our kids will feel about them the same we feel about The Who.[/QUOTE]

I don't dispute that todays kids idolize them,...but comparing them to Zeppelin or The Who is a stretch beyond all reasonability. That's like comparing Janis Joplin with Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson.

Come to think of it, when I try to compare Limp Biscuit with The Who or Zeppelin, it just makes me realize how lame Limp Biscuit is. But the kids today love it and mainly because they need to be spoon fed everything and once in a while some shit sticks above the rest, but only as long as the bandwagon is in sight.

Don't get me wrong, I loved three dollar bill, but their later stuff seems contrived and lacks the edge of the older stuff
