In no order, it's gotta be RHCP U2 Nirvana (i think they could've been number 1 if KC was still around, he was a musical genius) I feel like sticking Queens of the Stone Age in here, but they aren't really up there, yet. Beatles are in there Smashing Pumpkins were damn good, but not list material, not compared to the big boys. Metallica's gotta be near the top. I dunno, can't really think of any more. But I can't believe people would put Sublime, or Third EYe Blind, what are you people thinking? Sublime is good, but not that good. Third Eye Blind, what? Godsmack? Crazy people, but whatever you people like. |
in no particular order:
Rush Radiohead Massive Attack Boards of Canada Pink Floyd |
Pink Floyd
Mike Patton and his projects Dead Kennedys Devin Townsend and his projects No idea about others actually...damn, have a lot more that i rate but can't limit it to five bands....acid bath, fear factory, jimi hendrix, rammstein...etc |

Man, that's funny! Thanks for the morning chuckle! I needed it! My top 5: Styx Bruce Springsteen Collective Soul Judas Priest Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Not neccessarily in that order(although Styx is definately #1) |
Concrete Blonde-A song for every mood, so you can feel right listening to them all of the time! This band to me is the total package. Excellent singer with amazing range, skillful guitarist who plays with pure feeling... Once I heard my first C.B. album, I was hooked, and there was no turning back.
Morphine-I'm a straight male, but the singer Mark Sandman (R.I.P)has one sexy voice. 2-string bass, drums, and sax is all this band needs to create the smoothest music you will ever hear. Pearl Jam-Liked them even after they "changed." I'm always excited to hear what direction they are going in with each new record. Wouldn't it be boring if all their albums sounded like "Ten"? Massive Attack-More than music... its a feeling. They will take you places you've never gone before. Hmm, one more... this is always changing... its between Reverend Horton Heat, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Cracker, KMFDM, Grant Lee Buffalo, Violent Femmes... |
B52"s
Hunters and Collectors AC/DC Midnight Oil Sex pistols |
led zeppelin, but im not gonna count them cause everyone has them
black crowes silvertide (so far, theyve only got a 3 song demo out, but holy shit! these guys are gonna bring back good ole rock and roll) blind melon candlebox nirvana silverchair God, this is a hard list to make. and for me, its probably only accurate right now. it changes a bit |

"King of the Road" is one of the greatest songs of all time. I love Roger Miller (one of my wife's favorite songs is his "She's My Baby Lady" - I think that's the name) I don't know how old you are, but I will be 35 on Sunday and I love him. As of this very instant:

Misfits
Beastie Boys The Smiths/Morrisey Minor Threat Fugazi |
1) The Beatles
2) The Smiths 3) AFI 4) Jeff Buckley 5) Depeche Mode |
tough one but:
0) Benny Goodman (any version of his groups throughout the years) 1) The John Scott Trotter Band with the one and only Bing Crosby singing 2) John Lee Hooker 3) Glenn Miller 4) and probably De Dannan for my last (and most recent) one - like that Irish music especially took off Manhattan Transfer and Frank Sinatra because of the "band" part |
In no particular order:
Meshuggah (get "Destroy Erase Improve...best...prog albumn...ever) Old Man's Child (amazing mix of Black and Death metal with jsut enough classical guitar in the mix...gotta love it) Opeth (Gods of their genre, masters of their instruments) Dimmu Borgir (hper beats and amazing guitar work...nothing better) Lamb of God (god I love Gridn core) followed closely by, Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Naglfar, Hatbreed, Unearth, Killswitch Engage, and Shadows Fall |
1. Radiohead, one great CD after another. The best band ever!
2. U2, I even liked Pop 3. Smashing Pumpkins, First Cd I owned was Siamese dream 4. Poor Old Lu, great band broke up, now together again. listen to "straight six" great LP 5. Broken Social Scene. only one real Cd, but damn them cannucks did good. |
