AFI, Coheed & Cambria and Thursday
Tonight, March 2nd 2004 I will bear witness to one the greatest shows on earth. If anyone has seen AFI then you know what I am talking about. If you are the one who hasn't, please put that on your list of things to do. AFI's stage performance in amazing.

I saw AFI on this tour but with Static Lullaby instead of Thursday.
All I can say is that AFI blew the other guys out the water. Best show I've ever been to I think.

Someone tell me, what is the deal with Coheed and Cambria. I d/l'ed "Everything Evil" and think it's one of the greatest songs I've ever heard (and I normally have to let music age for about 10 years before I can stand it). The other songs of their's I've d/l'ed have been just OK.
Where do these folks come from? What's their niche? I had never ever heard of them when I got the song - it just seemed like a neat title.

Believe they are from New Jersey.. I personally don't care for the singers voice at all, but they aren't bad..
I saw thursday with Deftones back in november and I wasn't impressed with them at all, never seen coheed and cambria live, but I do know AFI puts on a great show although I don't care for their new CD.. |

I haven't really gotten into the new Coheed as of yet. New Thursday is out of this world. AFI can go fuck its collective self. I would have loved to have seen A Static Lullaby live, and would have liked even more to leave after their set and not watch AFI.

I have been a long time Coheed fan. One of the reasons, besides rocking the shit nutty, is that they are a big concept band.....to a point and there isnt really anybody like that out right now. I have recently just started getting into the new album and after reading the lyrics from the first album and then the new album, you start to see a really tripped out amazing story behind the songs. Away from that though, I didnt care much for the singers voice for the first few listens, but after a couple of days here and there listening, the voice really caught on. For all non believers, if you can stand AFI, Coheed will save you from the depths of AFI's grasp of hell ridden horse shit stained music!!!
