Jet/Vines/The Living End/Neon

These are all great bands and I've been a big fan of Aussie music for years, and I can't wait for this show- anyone else planning on seeing it in your respective city?

i love the first 3 and wish i could get to see them in concert, but who the hell is neon? never heard of them.

I don't know if this can be called an invasion -- the living end has been around for years and the vines came out in the USA a couple of years ago as well...

there are a lot of great aussie bands though -- i recommend the whitlams and killing heidi.

Silverchair's another one that made it out of the country.

Also (and I realise my opinion wasn't solicited here), I found that Silverchair was good at the time their first album came out. I think the world needed some teen-angst-muffled-guitary-sounds, but with little in the way of imaginative lyrics. It really worked well for them. Is it just me, or did they really sort of drop off after that? Maybe the music scene changed such that their style wasn't really appreciated on as grand a scale?

This is a tour coming, it's called the AUSSIE INVASION tour and guess what, it's a bunch of Australian bands. Who would have guessed?

eah I'm also an Australian and have never heard of Neon... There's a heap of good Aussie bands but they don't get much publicity
