Man this guy really got lucky. He definitely chose the right time to tryout for American Idol. He seems like a real down to earth dude too. I'll buy his CD.

When someon from the audience asked him how school was going, I could not stop laughing when he said he was struggling in civil engineering... just like everything else in life. It was great.

Agreed..that dude is so very genuine. It's refreshing to see such humility on a show which, for the most part, frowns on that sort of behaviour. It's great to see how the media, and how the american public has embraced him as not only the underdog, but the original loser of A.I. 3 -- and are making him a bigger winner than he probably ever imagined.
Favourite quote of last night: "You know, Ryan (Seacrest - the host), contracts are serious matters!" My wife nearly fell out of her seat laughing at that one. Long live William Hung. He could be the next David Hasslehoff. |

Seriously, thoug, I think the guy has serious balls. He is on national television, with people laughing at him, yet he keeps his chin up. He may suck at singing, but he has my respect. |

I don't understand the obsession with Mr Hung. It blows my mind. He's a terrible singer, do people want to see him just so they can laugh at him? It seems pretty cruel to me. I just hope he knows that he sucks musically (he's like watching a smiling, off key robot). Sure, he seems like a really nice guy, but he sure doesn't deserve anything for being that.
As far as the rest of AI goes, I hate it and I totally despise everything about pop music. That however, is best left for another thread. |

What makes Hung great is he made those self-important cocksucking assholes Simon, The Girl and the Other Guy ( I don't care enough to learn their names) look like the shitheels they are. He simply had "no regrets" and didn't respond to their childish reaction to his obvious lack of talent.

Alright, I'm bumping this thread because William Hung's cd "Inspiration" came out today. I have no intention of buying it, but since I'm a collector of mp3's I shall add this shitpile with no second thought. Here's the cover.

There's a simple reason why people like this guy.
He is real, he is a real person and music is lacking in the department of real people as it has become a corporate business in which only those that sign huge record deals get noticed and not those who truly love their music. |

I LOVE William Hung! He's SO what that stupid show needed....an Anti-Hero!
And those who school in BizErkly with him say he's really a great guy. Cool that he still says that school is "still his number one priority." Isn't this one more example what AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT!

Never have heard this fellow so no comment from me on good/bad he sounds. When I first saw his picture somewhere on the web, I thought it looked like another tired Fark cliche just waiting to happen.

Yeah, William!
He's got his own video now, too. Its terribly ridiculous. However, I think Keith from Atlanta would have been a funnier antihero. Anyone who saw his performance last year has to know what I'm talking about.
