Did anyone just watch Will Hung on American Idol? They gave him back up dancers and everything too!!

it's amazing how much of a pseudo-celebrity he is. more power to him, but i'm really hoping that he doesn't get a record deal. though i wouldn't mind seeing him in more cameos, like if they do that reuben-clay buddy picture

Man this guy really got lucky. He definitely chose the right time to tryout for American Idol. He seems like a real down to earth dude too. I'll buy his CD.

When someon from the audience asked him how school was going, I could not stop laughing when he said he was struggling in civil engineering... just like everything else in life. It was great.

I don't really watch the show, I heard my sister say to her friend that this guy could possibly still win if a buncha stuff goes his way, is this true? Because he sings about as well as I do, so if he has a chance, I think I'd have a chance too ;D

Agreed..that dude is so very genuine. It's refreshing to see such humility on a show which, for the most part, frowns on that sort of behaviour. It's great to see how the media, and how the american public has embraced him as not only the underdog, but the original loser of A.I. 3 -- and are making him a bigger winner than he probably ever imagined.

Favourite quote of last night: "You know, Ryan (Seacrest - the host), contracts are serious matters!" My wife nearly fell out of her seat laughing at that one.

Seriously, thoug, I think the guy has serious balls. He is on national television, with people laughing at him, yet he keeps his chin up. He may suck at singing, but he has my respect.

I don't understand the obsession with Mr Hung. It blows my mind. He's a terrible singer, do people want to see him just so they can laugh at him? It seems pretty cruel to me. I just hope he knows that he sucks musically (he's like watching a smiling, off key robot). Sure, he seems like a really nice guy, but he sure doesn't deserve anything for being that.

As far as the rest of AI goes, I hate it and I totally despise everything about pop music. That however, is best left for another thread.

I don't think he's as bad of a singer as everyone makes him out to be. He's on tune but the accent and dance moves make him sound and look weird. Just because he has a heavy accent doesn't make him a bad singer.

I mean, the guy's a first round reject from American Idol, and he got a record deal because the self-serving cock Simon Cowell gave him the biggest owning ever. There's a simple reason why people like this guy.

He is real, he is a real person and music is lacking in the department of real people as it has become a corporate business in which only those that sign huge record deals get noticed and not those who truly love their music.

This proves that pop labels have zero integrity and would release the sound of someone taking a dump if they thought dipshits would buy enough copies to make it profitable.

If given a choice between William Hung and any "American Idol" winner -I would choose Hung any day.
