Lovemaking Music
Just this last weekend I got with a chic that I met at some keg party. When we came back to my apartment I figured I would put on some music. Now, I have never done this before, but I found that I really like having music in the background, not loud.
I played some Eric Clapton which has a great mellow sound and sort of lovey dovey lyrics that I thought fit perfectly. Problem is I need more stuff to play. Doesn't have to be wussy and I don't really want anything really cheesy like Berry White or music made for sex. Just good music that goes well with it.

It depends so very much on what you and she like, but here are some ideas:
A cliche is Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, but I'm guessing that might be ok, based on your affinity for Clapton (in the sense that you seem ok with Classic Rock) To be different, try some of these: Peter Gabriel's "Passion" (all too timely) The La's (the last song is great b/c it's long and gets faster and faster) If you want some down and dirty banging, go with NIN or something else that's industrial-ish |

Here are two nice threads to add to the responces here.

[edit]Guess I should say something constructive for this tread. Just sampled some Sade songs. Simply amazing, great romantic music. Thanks Lord Humungus. Last edited by Mantus; 02-25-2004 at 08:16 PM.. |

If a girl starts making out with you to "Captain", by Ween, then that's the girl you have sex with, then marry.
On a less specific note, I find that some Cowboy Junkies or Morcheeba tends to fit nicely during sex, as do other things. Furthermore, I wholeheartedly recommend the entire "Without You I'm Nothing" album by Placebo to those that like minimal foreplay, followed by to-the-point rough sex, then by a lengthy post-coital repose with the partner. Again, it's very specific, but goddamn is it ever worth it!

However, for Love Making, gotta be Barry White. For Sex, Led Zeppelin, preferably "The Ocean" - just something about 7/8 time. For Fucking, Iron Maiden - just hard and nasty legs over the shoulders banging away music.

coldplay. as far as being able to just put on an album and not worry about editing a songlist... this is a pretty good bet most of the time.
