I'm not into the rock form enough to name any bands, though I do enjoy it... but I really like: Venetian Snares and Hellfish (namely, "The Uridium Project", by Hellfish & Producer) both of the electronic veriety. |

im not trying to start an argument, so dont cuss me out but why do you like hardcore. i have heard dillinger escape plan, converge, hatebreed etc. i really cant stand hardcore. the yelling is in no rhythm and out of key. its all the same tempo and every song and band for that matter sound the same. what sealed my disliking of hardcore was american nightmare....these kids told me a.n is so awesome they are so good...i listened to them and it was the same stuff as i heard before. then they said you have to read the lyrics. although converge and dillinger escape plan i think are actually pretty good and dont just follow the template of a hardcore band....please fill me in on why you like hardcore.

heh, I would hardly consider todays AFI hardcore at all.. they are like gothpop now.. even their old stuff was more punk to me than it was hardcore..
only hardcore I like is Atreyu, from autumn to ashes(too bad your beautiful CD is amazing).. and early AFI I guess if its considered hardcore, very proud of ya is one of my favorite CDs.. |

Only hardcore I enjoy is when the vocals go trade off between screams / emoish, like Atreyu and From Autumn To Ashes do.. like if you aren't sure if you like hardcore or not give Atreyu - Aint Love Grand a chance, that song is amazing. |

Loads of metalcore listed above, not hardcore... whatever. I'm not getting into that arguement. Sure, they're similar, but they certainly aren't the same thing.
I used to really like Hatebreed, Terror, some Sworn Enemy, but grew out of it quickly when I discovered grindcore. I can still listen to some of it, and I still LOVE Dillinger and listen to them quite a bit, but they aren't text book HxC either. I don't understand the "dancing" that hardcore kids seems to like so much. If you're going to mosh, go for it, but that spin kick shit has no place at a concert in my eyes. |

Okay, there's definitly some subgenres thrown in here, but oh well... And yes, a lot of them are christian hardcore..still amazing though
I'm going to put them in categories...because I'm a nerd like that: Best Vocals/Screamers: 1- The Number Twelve Looks Like You--> www.purevolume.com/thenumbertwelvelookslikeyou 2- Haste The Day--> www.purevolume.com/hastetheday 3- Underoath's old screamer (can't find a site, but if you illegally download...try "A Message For Adrienne") 4- Bloodlined Calligraphy--> www.purevolume.com/bloodlinedcalligraphy (Yes, their screamer is a chick.) Best hardcore that has some regular singing? (what a horrible name) 1- ThricePoison The Well 2- Alexisonfire 3- Poison The Well 4- Emanuel 5- Eighteen Visions 6- From Autumn To Ashes And well some honorable mentions with no place else to put them--> 1- mewithoutYou (Best Hardcore Christian) 2- Norma Jean (Just because it's norma Jean 3- He Is Legend (hardcore+ odd lyrics) 4- SHOWBREAD( hardcore+powerpop?) 5- War of Ages (The music for the two greatest pits I've ever seen) 6- Emanuel (goood stuff) Yes...I love hardcore...

I was just wondering about the hardcore kick box dancing. People call me a crust punk, and I'm not really in to Atreyu or Earth Crisis (mainly because I think their politics are lame), but I do like Death By Stereo and stuff like that, and when I do on occasion go to those shows, I see the Kick Box dancing. What's up with it, and where did it come from, and etc... Just wondering.
