I personally use EMule (Hardmule mod) all the time. It takes time to really get it working but once its going its really nice.

Ill use BearShare to grab those occasional MP3s

Newsgroups for MP3 albums, Music Videos

Ill use Bittorrent if I have to but not very often.

Have tried shareaza,irc,kazaalite,gnutella,and weboards but the above so far has worked best for me.

well, thanks to this thread i've started using Soulseek.

no complaints. its more than i need. and thats fantastic.

Only using kazaalite at the moment but i think i will look into soulseek given the great wraps its getting here.

just curious, how does mIRC & IRCspy work?

I use Soulseek for my obscurities, what-do-they-sound-like-agains, i-wonder-what-they're-likes, which-cd-should-i-buy-tomorrows, etc.

WinMX, i use it for every thing.

Soulseek would be even sweeter if it could download as effectively as Kazaalite. The range of files is heaps better but just a lot slower to get. Also - I've never DL'd a dud file from Soulseek but have got plenty from Kazaa.

I use BitTorrent and eDonkey. As for clients I use emule with currently Azureus for BitTorrent (still looking for a decent client)

a little off topic...but is it or shouldn't it be legal to download music that's out of print?

DC++, simply the best.

Use kazaa lite k+*--4++ or whatever the hell it is now, and bittorrent for the REALLY big files :)

This thread has been hella helpful... Ive been using WinMx for awhile now and havent exactly been satisfied with it...
Now i will have to go home and try SoulSeek and Bittorrent...
