Sirius Satellite Radio
I have a Kenwood head unit in my truck and have been thinking about getting the Sirius system to go with it (Kenwood supports Sirius, not XM). Anyway, I read on the boards a few days ago that Sirius was rumored to be closing up shop (going out of business) so I was concerned for my satellite jam session future.
Whatever the case, I heard today that Sirius has signed a 7-year contract with the NFL for an ungodly sum of money and stock. So, take heart Sirius owners and future purchasers -- it seems that Sirius is staying around for a little while longer. http://biz.yahoo.com/rc/031216/telecoms_sirius_1.html

Sirius isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I wouldn't be surprised to see them kick XM's ass in the long run. They have more music to pick from, have the capability to do MUCH more music (than they are now, and more than XM can), are currently working on streaming video, and their ground based repeater system gets signal in places XM can't. Plus the sound quality is far superior to XM. Again, no I do not work for Sirius.
