Fave Canadian Bands
Hey y'all. Lately a lot of rock bands have come on to the US scene with some major hits. Sum 41, Nickelback, Default, Avril Lavigne, etc...and I must say I love em all. Just wanted to hear your guys' thoughts on the matter. Any Canadian fans out there?

Well, I think all those bands suck, but I do like some other Canadians such as Matthew Good, Our Lady Peace, and Propaghandi.

The only Canadian band I'll admit to liking is I Mother Earth... Check out Like The Sun ;)

Not only Rush, but how about:
Triumph April Wine Loverboy Barenaked Ladies Heart (kinda. They are from Seattle, but got their start in Canada) And the best... Bob & Doug McKenzie:thumbsup: "Take off, to the Great White North." Hey, it had Geddy Lee in it. |
Blue Rodeo
The Tragically Hip Headstones |

The Tragically Hip are pretty much the quintessential Canadian band. Although I've pretty much given up on them based on the weak and generic albums they've released over the past 8 or so years. Fully Completely and Up To Here are a couple of the finest albums released by a Canadian group in the past 15 years. Edit, Averett beat me to posting The Hip and I had forgotten about the Headstones (They're both from Kingston, which probably makes it the rockingest town in Canada) |

ah who cares if it's been done already :)
