Does anyone know any sites or places where they discuss spong intrepretations for various songs and artists?

I couldn't really find any good places. I've seen some dedicated websites for specific bands, and alos on specific questions about specefic songs on specific music forums (lots of specifics ), but no general ones?

Although, i am not sure if this has been done before, but maybe we could start a thread here though? Anyone have a question about the meanings/intrepretations of lyrics and post them here, and other can help you decipher something. I know song intrepreation is often individual, but sometimes bands talk in riddles and you have to know these elborate back stories to get proper meanings out of them?

That is/was a very, very nice site. But it's been down for quite some time now though. They said they'll be bringing it back, nobody knows when though.

sleepyjack, are you trying to find reason in Captain Beefheart lyrics?

If there is no established website that is already dedicated to it, I'm all for a song interpretation thread. There are some Talking Heads songs I'd like interpretated, come to think of it.

lol, no.

i have come to accept that most of beefheart's lyrics are mainly some clever word plays.
Although i have looked up some of his songs and found out about them. SO it's always cool to do a little side research eg i found out Dachua in Dauchu blues (a song by captain beefheart on his TMR album) was a concentration camp/ gas chamber where jews where killed in the holocaust. SO it's good to look up some back info.

but yeah, since i can't find any dedicated sites, feel free to post any lyrics you'd like to post here, as either a way of informaing people what you think about them or if you're searching for further enlightenment. I hvae a few songs i might post later on, to get this thread rolling?

atm it's a few mars volta songs?

they have some crazy words in there, which i don't know if they've made up or are some kind of slang/hybrid.

eg.
autodafe

there are also some other hybrid words, i think i've heard, although i can't think of them off of the top of my head?

although, i don't know how popular this idea is?
