techno people, help me
i can get into techno, i mostly listen to hardcore metal and other various types...what i'm getting at is that i was wondering if there is any "scary" djs out there? by scary i mean creepy sounding and horror-ish...cradle of filth has a couple of techno tracks that are bad ass and are "scary"..the closest i found was neophyte, which wasn't that eerie at all, if any of you know of any djs, let me know

I don't listen to aphex twin...But I have heard some of his stuff.
Twisted shit. I have friends who say jungle is noise....Then I tell them to download some stuff from aphex twin...I haven't listened to him that much...Who knows maybe it will grow on me, But from what I can remember...It was very different.

Re: techno people, help me
Are you specifically looking for Techno or just hard as nails "electronic" based tunes?
Heres a few off the top of my head: "20 Degrees" by Jonny L, Its a really stomping Drum & Bass tune with rocket fast lyrics. "Volcanic Drum Beats" by Denki Groove, This group (from Japan) usually make pop-esque housey tunes, Volcanic Drumbeats is the exception (The live version rules). "Thousand" by Moby, This one, I figure, was made only to drive E-heads nuts. At its peak the B.P.M. (beats per minute) peaks 1000. "Thier Law" & "Poison" [LIVE VERSIONS] by THe Prodigy Maxim Goes wild on theese versions & you can really feel the athmosphere. D.O.A. The Cd was pinched by a friend & its hard to find anything on them. Basically D.O.A. = Desciples Of Anhialation (sp), New York city speedcore. If youre familiar with a drum "breakdown" try to imagine it done with a couple of drum machines. Its not the greatset shit out there but it certinally is hard. As said above, check into Richard D James, He is the king of Drill'n Bass. Thats all I can think of at the mo, Ill post again if I think of any.

i'm looking for techno that sound creepy, a lot of the stuff i hear now is all happy sounding and i want the opposite i prefer it to be hard...if you check out Cradle of Filths (yes, i know they're black metal) dance macabre, or from the cradle to enslave mixes, i'm looking for some scary techno like that, i'll check out aphex twins, i've only heard come to daddy, which was pretty good, i also heard dillinger escape plans cover of that song, which also is good i might add...

for a DJ set... hop on soulseek and download a set by Goa Gil ... ... not all of it is "scary", but Gil is a very moody guy, and his sets can go from being very dark and brooding to being very uplifting... give it a listen =)
the genra he plays is called psychedelic trance / goa if you want an eerie producer of electronic music... check out Dark Soho .. it's very dark, very eerie, psychedelic music, often with nice guitar play on top... by far my favorite producer of the dark side of goa |

It's all about the D-Devils Sometimes more humorous than anything else, but for some reason I love it
