I'd have to say Gladiator was my favorite. Very rich and powerful. Elicits a lot of emotional imagery.

"City of Angels" was good... It's a good make out album.
|
Holy crap, no one has mention the Big Leboski? The Gypsy Kings with Hotel California! While Jesus bowls a strike! And dances!
The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore are also quite good. |
Maybe not my favorite, but you have to put a vote in for "The Muppet Movie". Every song is catchy as hell. "Movin' Right Along", "Can You Picture That?", etc.
|
solaris, the tarkovky version. particularly the driving sequence. total brainmelt.
i liked ghost dog when i first saw it for the soundtrack--but i saw it again a little while ago and it did not seem to age well. o yeah--clockwork orange. a real favorite, soundtrackwise. |

Quote:
killbill, reservoir dog, pulpfiction, fightclub, blackhawkdown, Collateral, mostly all the johnwilliams score, ... |
The one that has gotten the most spins in the past was definitely Batman Forever. One of the few CDs I ever wore out.
|
Top Gun! - Great for an 80's nostalgia trip
Transformers: The Movie Kevin and Perry Go Large Godzilla Any QT film |
The Big Lebowski sountrack maannn
Dylan Kenny Rogers(not the cameraman beater one) Elvis Costello and hotel cali IN spanish -everytime i hear that song i think of Jesus-aka john tuturro...what a great soundtrack to listen too |
1.- Kill Bill vol.1 and 2
2.- A Clockwork Orange 3.- Ravenous 4.- Pulp Fiction 5.- Resivor Dogs I just realized I put 3 Tarantino movies on that list! I like the musical scores for the movie better than the popular band songs most of the time. The Clockwork Orange soundtrack is weird remixes of Beethoven scores. Its cool. |
I've always been a fan of soundtracks because they can be so eclectic. You also can buy them for a few artists only to discover new ones.
In addition to those already mentioned, here a few of my favourites: 1) Dead Presidents - A collection of rich soul and funk tracks for the 70's, many of which are hard to find elsewhere. 2) The McMullin Brothers - Energetic Irish music, both original and traditional, by Seamus Egan. (plus a Sarah Mclachlan song) This movie was one of the first my wife and I saw together when dating. 3) Dead Man - Neil Young improvised this feedback heavy score live to the Jim Jarmusch/Jonny Depp movie. 4) Curtis's Charm - Funky, Mello grooves with lots of analogue soundscapes from the movie. As a bonus, the CD includes a reading by Jim Carrol of his short story that inspired the movie. |
I like the Resident Evil Apocalips soundtrack.
There is some verry good rock in that CD. |
the Baseketball soundtrack is fabulous as well as the soundtrack from the movie Angus. check em out.
|
Glad to see everyone has ecelectic soundtrack tastes just like I do! I even saw Nightmare Before Christmas, I wasn't sure anyone even owned that besides me! Good call, Nancy!
(on a side note, I'm apparently in one hell of an exclamation point using mood!) For orchestral soundtracks, my favorite of all time is The Red Violin. For others, I've always loved The Commitments soundtrack. |
"cruel intentions" has alot of good music on it, so does "the life aquatic"
