Basically, just a thread for spotting some of the great flip-sides (or tracks 2, 3 and/or 4) of singles.
I'll give a few for starters: Oasis - The Masterplan (off 'Wonderwall') Radiohead - How Can You Be Sure? (off 'Fake Plastic Trees') R.E.M. - First We Take Manhattan (off 'Drive') The Beatles - Rain (off 'Paperback Writer') Aaand you lovely folk can take it from here. |

ElO "Drum Dreams" the B side of "All Over the World"
|
U2 - 'Spanish Eyes' off 'I Still Haven't Found...'
Tori Amos - 'Take to the Sky' off 'Winter' Pearl Jam - 'Yellow Ledbetter' off 'Jeremy' Pearl Jam/ Neil Young - 'Long Road' off of 'I Got Id' |
i ok i have never brought a single on cd, but i do have some 7" 12" singles on vinyl and here are the ones i thought worthy to mention
AC/DC - if you want blood you got it (high to hell) the beatles - while my guitar gently weeps (ob-la-di, ob-la-da) silverchair - tuna in the brine (across the night) |
"NYC Cops" off of the "Hard to Explain" EP by The Strokes
|
2 big ones that stick out in my head:
Metallica - And Justice For All the whole second side of that cd kicked ass. much better than the first side.. much harder. nine inch nails - the fragile i liked the "right" side more. seemed more like his old stuff |
