New Age
I've always been a fan of Tangerine Dream
and Ojas or even Enya or Enigma amongst other various artists or songs that hit me the right way. I've always like where they taken me, almost like on a journey. Does anyone else like New Age? Last edited by rogue49; 09-29-2003 at 06:09 AM.. |

Have all the albums of Engima. I listen to one of thier CD's at least once a week. It keeps me calm and horney. :>
I dont like Enya. Deep Forest is semi "ok". Not to sure if Enigma is new age. But it works for me! You would have to list them with Yanni. And SHEESH! NO WAy! Also i listen to BOND alot. Those chica's are hot and c;an play great musica. |

I like some new age music, but I find most of it to be formulaic and uninspiring. I'd put Enigma in with the new age crowd, Mike Batt has done some nice stuff - perhaps more world music than new age, Enya is a favourite...

The problem is that like any music there's more bad stuff than good stuff.
New Age is not played on the radio, so you don't have the "top 10" list to emphasize the better pieces. So people mostly don't know of the genre, or if they have they haven't heard the good stuff. And bad New Age sounds really bad. So it takes time finding samples that allow you to find the ones you like. but once you find the ones they are excellent. You close your eyes, and feel like you're in a dream. BTW, Kitaro is another popular one, although his pieces don't hit me right. |

well, i have a few enigma and enya albums... and i love them.
i´m not really sure how to totally identify new age music... but i do like the Gypsy Kings, Robert Miles and some of Chicanes work for the same reason that i like enigma... like Rogue said... Quote:
