Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) did some amazing covers, including Dale Hawkins' "Susie-Q" (also covered by the Rolling Stones) and "I Heard It through the Grapevine" (Marvin Gaye's version being the most acclaimed recording, and it was also recorded by Gladys Knight & the Pips). There's some great rock in those covers. |

Cake's Mahnamanaha, the Muppet Song. Almost ANYTHING by Richard Cheese. Especially People=Shit (Slipknot), Been Caught Stealin' (Jane's Addiction), Milkshake (Kelis) and pretty much the entire Tuxicity album. |

To me, the best covers are when it's done completly differently, not just a band doing karioke. So: Jimmy Eat World covering Firestarter by the Prodigy. It takes about 2 minutes to realise that it's firestarter, it's so different. A good one I heard was by Oasis. Suposedly, Liam decided that was they way to sing wonderwall after he heard it. |

The Black Crowes with Jimmy Page doing Ten Years Gone by Zepplin. Look it up on youtube, it will blow your mind..... |
