Blur- Think Tank
 

Anyone heard this?

I think its had mixed reviews, but i really like it. Its the only full LP i've heard from them and i saw it was "like" Kid A from Radiohead so thats why i checked it out. Although its not particulaly like Kid A, maybe in some places (it seems if a band goes from standard guitars to more electronic synths etc the album might get called to be like Kid A??), but its pretty damn good in its own right, well i quite like it.

Check out Ambulance, Out of Time and Caravan for a small intro and then take it from there if you're interested in them.

hmmm, looks like there are no Blur fans??

With Blur, I usually only like their singles. They're one of those bands that can put out a few awesome songs, but can't string together an equally awesome album.

I've loved their earlier stuff - the new one turned me off at first - though maybe I should go give it another chance...

i'll give blur the benefit of the doubt but i wont buy this album

interesting respones. I never really heard any of their earlier stuff other than the nausiating song2 (where they say "woohoo" a lot *cringe* )
But i found this album quite refreshing.

oh well...

Think Tank is pretty good, but it doesn't compare to "13". That is one damn good album. "Blur" is a really good album too, they both are definetly better than "Think Tank".

Think Tank is a lot like Albarns "Mali Music", which was good in its own right, but i didnt quite enjoy hearing it put to greater effect in Think Tank. kind of squandered the bands abilities imo.

13 was brilliant, one of my alltime favorite albums, and their older stuff is sporadic in its quality, though there are some great stuff within.

Cool, maybe i'll check out 13 then :)
