Hate to bump an old thread, but must give a couple thumbs up. I have been listening to "Unclassified" and it is an excellent album. If anyone likes the style, definitely pick it up. Good song writing, great musicians, nice production.

the Family Band's bass player is awesome

I saw Robert Randolph and the family band open for the String Cheese in Morrison Colorado. He got people moving the second he hit the stage and as an added treat he got in on the Encore with the Cheese when they were playing "Open your mind." He is a bad ass and has some serious style from his music to his attire

That dude freakin ROCKS OUT on the slide guitar. MADD impressed I gotta pick up this album.

I've seen them live 3 times and I love them. The most energetic, amazing band out there right now.

Hands down one of the most impressive performances I've ever had the pleasure to see. They did a set on the Sprite Liquid Mix Tour and pretty much blew everyone off the stage (with the exception of maybe The Roots).
His cover of "Voodoo Child" is awe inspiring. |

^^ Yeah I gotta agree with that. At most shows the sound just isn't right for hip-hop music. I remember my first performance at a pool hall/mini concert area called Chauncey's (Radish used to play there) and I got asked to do a freestyle number for one of the shows so I did only prob is the sound system sucked and the controls were set for rock vocals with an echo n shit. So I freestyle fast and use big words so the whole performance was really muffled and you couldn't really understand a word I was saying. Pretty aweful. He said next time I perform he'd hook me up to the big PA system underneath the stage. Sadly I moved though. Good times none the less.
